A patroller is a user who is given blocking, rollbacking and patrolling rights.
Patrollers were established on April 15th, 2007 in order to counter Template:Link that has been becoming more constant as the wiki becomes more popular. They can be considered an in-between of users and sysops and are chosen by Template:Link for a) activeness and b) trust.
