Santa Claus is said to be the one who gives presents to kids on Christmas. He appears in some episodes of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!.

In the live-action segment from "Star Koopa / Santa Claus is Coming to Flatbush", he goes to the Mario Brothers Plumbing house because his sled got stolen. In the cartoon segment of "Koopa Klaus / Little Marios", King Koopa kidnaps him, so Mario and the gang go save him.

In "Rock TV", an episode of the Super Mario World animated series, Mario remembers an outlandish phone bill he got back in Brooklyn from calling the "Speak to Santa Hotline."

Santa Claus was mentioned in Super Mario 64. His name was stated in the sign near the cabin at the of Cool Cool Mountain.

The Hollijolli Mayor of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time greatly resembles common depictions of Santa Claus.

Hermie III of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga also mistakes Mario for Santa Claus.
