Shiver City Toad House mention[edit]
The Toad caretaker of Shiver City's Toad House in Paper Mario does not actually mention Santa Claus directly, nor does he allude to him as explicitly as the Bandit in Rogueport in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This is what he actually says:
Mario!
I took a nap, and when I woke up there were all these items!
And it was the weirdest thing... The floor was all wet, as if snow had melted everywhere...
Do you think someone left these as a present for you, Mario?
But who would do that???
Yeah, you could take that as an indirect implication of Santa's existence, but it's vague enough that I don't really think it belongs on the page. PaperSplash (talk) 01:00, November 22, 2023 (EST)
- I would say the part about someone entering the house overnight and leaving presents behind for Mario in a snowy location is very Santa-like, but it's not explicit in other games. It's not unreasonable to think Santa. So I think it's worth suggestion, not outright confirmation.
