DK Jumbo

The DK Jumbo is Donkey Kong's kart in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. It is a heavyweight kart and has Donkey Kong's trademark 'DK' on the front. It is made out of a huge barrel, and is set as a default when the game is first started.

According to the in-game stats, when compared to the Wario Car, the DK Jumbo's speed and acceleration are the same, but the DK Jumbo is slightly heavier, enabling it to easily push the Wario Car (along with the Turbo Birdo and Parade Kart) around. However, the DK Jumbo can still be pushed around by the Koopa King, which is one of the heaviest karts in the game. However, the DK Jumbo is a weaker accelerator than the Wario Car ( also weaker than the Piranha Pipes and the Barrel Train).

Even though the DK Jumbo has a two star acceleration stat, it actually has the weakest acceleration in the game. Ironically, both the Koopa King (a one star accelerator) & the Green Fire accelerates a bit better than the DK Jumbo. The DK Jumbo acheives the same speed as the Koopa King, despite having one star less.

Trivia

• In Mario Kart 7, the Wood tires have a similar appearance to the wheels of the DK Jumbo. However, unlike the DK Jumbo, they actually boost acceleration.
