History

Super Mario 3D Land

Many Super Leaves blown away in a storm.
The Tail Tree losing its Super Leaves in a rain storm in Super Mario 3D Land.

Sometime prior the events of Super Mario 3D Land, at night there was a huge rain storm that blew all the Super Leaves away from the Tail Tree (while Bowser laughed in the background), it is revealed that Bowser and the Koopa Troop stole them and some of them are found sealed inside blocks. The next morning, Princess Peach goes outside to see if the Tail Tree is okay, but the tree has lost its Super Leaves. During her inspection, Bowser, Boom Boom and Pom Pom, with the Koopa Troop, once again kidnap her.

Later on, Mario and three Toads (Red, Yellow, and Blue) go looking for the princess. Eventually, they discover that she is missing and the tree's Super Leaves are gone too. Yellow Toad notices a hovering letter near the Tail Tree, and the group of four goes to investigate. Mario grabs and opens the letter, and a picture of Bowser holding Princess Peach with Super Leaves flying in the background pops out. The message shocks the three Toads and Mario, and immediately, Mario and the three Toads run to save Princess Peach. Throughout his adventure, Mario receives more letters about Peach's predicament and how Bowser conspired this plot utilizing the Super Leaves he took from the Tail Tree; like giving the tree's Super Leaves to his armies, even to some members who were transformed into False Bowsers.

After the defeat of Bowser, Mario and the three Toads saved Princess Peach and, using their Tanooki powers, they bring Peach back to her castle. It is seen that the Tail Tree grew its Super Leaves back.
