The article should be recreated in my opinion. While Pakkun Flower is really just Piranha Plant left unlocalized, Gira's name is different from the common enemy's name (Killer/Bullet Bill) in both Japanese and English (a proper romanization would probably be "Giller"). As Gira's Blaster emerges from pipes rather than being stationary, there is also a gameplay difference (while Chibibo acts exactly like the common Goomba). --[[User:Grandy02|Grandy02]] 13:34, 9 January 2010 (EST)

This article needs a sprite from the original game. I'd give it one if my Game Boy Advance SP didn't randomly turn off before I found one. (sad face). Personal problems aside, add a sprite. --[[User:JXZ|Click to enter my domain!]] 01:08, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

A sub-species of Bullet Bills? Is that confirmed or just speculation? To me, it seems that Giras are actually Bullet Bills, just like Pakkun Flowers are actually Piranha Plants and Chibibos are possibly Goombas (most enemies' names in Super Mario Land still had Japanese names even in the American version, which would explain the name "Gira"). According to The Mushroom Kingdom, the Japanese name for Bullet Bill is indeed "Kirā". It's only a small step from K to G in Japanese, just a voicing mark. This is most likely the Japanese name, untranslated. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 14:34, 1 March 2008 (EST)
I think it's a great idea to merge, but there had better be something on the Bullet Bill page that mentions that "the official name for the ones in this game are Gira" or something like that. People sometimes tend to overlook stuff like that. BLOC PARTIER.
I'm for the merge. They seem like the same species, as they seem to have the same Japanese names and they pretty much function exactly like regular Bullet Bills, aside from blasting out of pipes rather than cannons.--Mr. Satran 09:42, 10 May 2008 (EDT)
It would be easy enough to put in brackets, (known as Giras in Super Mario Land) after the name. Jakeyboy01
Merge. Gira is really only a sub-species. --BeeBop! 19:28, 16 August 2008 (EDT)

Recreate article[edit]

The article should be recreated in my opinion. While Pakkun Flower is really just Piranha Plant left unlocalized, Gira's name is different from the common enemy's name (Killer/Bullet Bill) in both Japanese and English (a proper romanization would probably be "Giller"). As Gira's Blaster emerges from pipes rather than being stationary, there is also a gameplay difference (while Chibibo acts exactly like the common Goomba). --Grandy02 13:34, 9 January 2010 (EST)

I've recreated it. --Grandy02 07:51, 26 January 2010 (EST)
Is "more than likely called Gira Blasters" a suitable phrase in an article? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 07:53, 26 January 2010 (EST)
More than likely not. --Grandy02 07:58, 26 January 2010 (EST)
