Variant of Theet

A ninja is a subcategory of Theets in Princess Peach: Showtime!. They wear orange outfits with a belt and mouth-covering hood, a purple sweater underneath, and white shoes with golden tips.

In the maingame they only appear in Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids and Ninjutsu: The Art of Flames but in the postgame they become a major collectible to search for in most of the levels, where Ninja Sparkla refer to them as his apprentices.

Maingame

Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids

The stage takes place in a village where all but two of the local resident Theets are ninjas. After Peach has uncovered a nearby shortcut at the start of the stage, various ninjas accompany her through a part of the village, including one who must be used Sparkle on for him to move a stone head with telekinesis, eventually getting Peach into a secret cave.

After Peach has emerged from the cave and into the rest of the village the ninjas along the way give her advice and compliments as she chases a Sour Bunch member who have stolen a scroll.

In this stage, there is additionally an Elder who owns the "Elder's Manor", whose path is blocked by two Guards at the start of the level, necessitating the above events to reach the farthest right of his manor to save him, which is the only place he appears in the game.

Ninjutsu: The Art of Flames

Two ninjas ask Ninja Peach for help to reclaim a large castle with Peach proceeding to make her way through it, saving one caged ninja on her way to the revolving door terrace.

One ninja follows her onto the higher rooftops and then stays behind as the roofs begin to be bombed. Two ninjas await her on the top floor with one of them handing her a scroll to turn a nearby cogwheel into a large dragon soaring through the topmost sections of the castle.

Quotes

  • "Could you be the ninja of legend?"

Postgame

After It's Showtime, Grape!, various Ninja Theets show up in levels in wall disguises in order for Princess Peach to try to find them. There are three Ninjas in regular stages on 1F through 5F and one Ninja in BF stages. Ninja Sparkla in 1F of Sparkle Theater asks Peach how many Ninjas she has found but does not keep a counter on how many that are found.

If a Ninja has been found in a level, he will say "You found me!" and vanish in a cloud. The Ninja will show up again at the same spot if the level is played again at a later time but will not count towards the counter.

Finding all 70 hidden Ninjas in the game allows Peach to buy the "Secret Dress" and Stella to buy the "Special Ribbon" at the Lobby Shop.
