Ninjutsu: The Art of Rapids is a level in Princess Peach: Showtime!, located on the left in the first floor of the Sparkle Theater. To unlock this stage, The Castle of Thorns must be completed. It is the first stage where the Ninja Peach transformation is introduced.
Layout[edit]
The stage begins with Princess Peach and Stella arriving at a Japanese village, which has been blocked off from the rest by a group of Sour Bunch guards. There is a sign that states "Elder's Manor Ahead". After using Sparkle on two cherry trees, Peach can use a secret passage leading to the village, amazing a nearby Theet by rising up from the well. Taking the secret passage leads to her exiting a well; as a Ninja Theet stated, Peach must "follow the road to reach the manor". There are guards with lanterns that Peach must stay out of sight from. They are invulnerable to the ribbon. If they catch Peach in their sight, they will blow the horn and Peach is brought further back to the west of the well. There is a Theet that Peach must use Sparkle on, making it open a path underneath the stone. Peach can continue the pathway where she must stand on a revolving platform that makes the stage rotate 180°. Additionally, Peach will encounter two Ninja Theets.
In the next area, Peach can go east to pop the Theet balloon or head straight to the area with the ninja's Sparkle, where Peach transforms into Ninja Peach. After her transformation, Peach can follow the trail of coins by wall jumping and will encounter another Sparkle Gem.
Entering another area, Peach will encounter ninja Theets. A Theet tells Peach to conceal herself in grass, within which Peach automatically disguises herself. Peach can do a surprise attack on the guards by pressing . Up ahead, there are two guards on wooden platforms; Peach can hide behind the walls by positioning Peach close to the wall where she automatically uses her camouflage. Peach can defeat the guard on the tallest wooden platform by jumping on the lamp and attacking from behind and will then find the guards guarding the Theets in the cage. After Peach defeats the guards, the Theets break free and warns Peach about enemies ahead. Peach then heads right across a blue roof where she passes by a moon and jumps down where there is a sleeping guard underneath. Up ahead is the Elder's Manor where there are purple spotlights indicating guards using their lamps. A sensei Theet named Elder is trapped in the cage, and defeating the guard breaks the Theet free along with a Sparkle Gem. The Elder warns Peach not to let her guard down, as the Sour Bunch is after the scrolls. Right then, a Sour Bunch thief emerges from one of the guard's armors, who takes the scrolls and flees. The Elder tells Peach to chase after it.
In the next area, Peach will chase after the Dark Ninja in an auto-runner section. The player can control Peach to wall-jump or run on the wall by pressing . She can press to dash into two Sour Bunch members. Along the trail, there are eight Sparkle pieces; collecting them all will grant her a Sparkle Gem. Peach runs next to the forest where she can swing on the yellow poles. There are two Sour Bunch aviaries that Peach can defeat by dashing into them. The second Sour Bunch aviary is holding onto a ninja Theet; if Peach defeats the bird, the Theet rewards her a Sparkle Gem.
In the third area, Peach chases the thief into the waterfalls where the Dark Ninja drops a scroll on a rock. After Peach obtains the scroll, the giant rock that Peach stands on becomes a tidal wave. The player can control the wave up or down by pressing , and Peach can not be damaged while riding the rock even if she is directly touched by flying Sour Bunch members. Afterwards, Peach jumps off the wave and can slice the Dark Ninja by pressing to reclaim the rest of the stolen scrolls.

Trivia[edit]
- If Peach intentionally delays her final attack on the final Sour Bunch thief, leading to the thief trying to get away by short bursts of running faster, the thief will run out of momentum and be caught up by Peach after 37 seconds, at which point Peach will deliver her final attack anyway.
