'''Zokket''' is the main antagonist of ''[[Mario & Luigi: Brothership]]''. His past and true identity are shrouded in mystery for a majority of the game. His ultimate purpose is the resurrection of [[Reclusa]], an entity who seeks to drown all worlds in solitude, which he achieves by spreading [[Glohm]] throughout the shattered continent. He wears a jagged mask, a top hat that covers red and green cables, and a dark red cloak with a {{wp|diagonal pliers|wire cutter}}-like object in the front, which he can use as a weapon in battle. His cloak follows a design trend previously used by [[Cackletta]], both the [[Princess Shroob|younger]] and [[Elder Princess Shroob|elder]] Princess Shroobs, [[Dark Fawful]], and [[Antasma]]. The name "Zokket" appears to be a voicing of "socket".

Zokket is shown to be plotting behind the scenes while the Bros. travel throughout Concordia to reunite it. The Bros. encounter him several times throughout the story but he does not engage them in battle. In addition to his preparations for Reclusa's revival, Zokket and his [[Zok Troops]] are engaged in aerial warfare with [[Bowser]] and [[Bowser's Minions|his army]]. When Bowser is lured away alone to [[Fortress Zokket]],  Zokket is revealed to have hijacked the four Great Lighthouses and uses them to produce the Glohmatic Quad-ray, which hits Bowser and transforms him into [[Glohm Bowser]].

Zokket is cold and calculating, often paying little mind to what other people say while he is pre-occupied with his schemes. He regards others mercilessly and without care,  remarking the [[Extension Corps]] and his own troopers as disposable in his notes. His lack of interest in others is also shown through his habit of constantly forgetting the names of the Mario Bros. and the Extension Corps. Despite this, he has no issue with [[Bowser]]'s or [[Connie]]'s names. 

He is eventually revealed to be the alter ego of [[Cozette]], who was mind-controlled (described as "brainwashed") by Reclusa to carry out his bidding. When the Bros. finally beat him in battle, he ceases to exist and Cozette's appearance returns to normal.

==Battle==
In combat, Zokket possesses several attacks, with one of his attacks using the pliers on his cloak as a boomerang, circling around the Bros. who must repel it with a hammer strike when faced towards Zokket. Once it breaks Zokket's shield, he knocks it back to the Bro. adjacent to his raised arm; hitting the pliers back one more time damages Zokket. Another attack involves him charging up a pink ball of lightning (which can inflict [[Trip]]) and throwing it at a Bro., who must repel the ball with a hammer strike; the targeted Bro. is adjacent to the arm that Zokket uses to lift the ball before launching it. While the attack is charging, smaller yellow balls of electricity slowly descend on the Bros. and must be dissipated by hammer strikes. He can also launch thunderbolts at the Bros. not unlike [[Cackletta]]; the targeted Bro. must jump to avoid damage. Occasionally during this attack, Zokket can switch the Bros.' positions via whirlwind to throw the player off. 

Zokket eventually spreads his cape open, emitting and infusing his attacks with [[Glohm]]; getting hit with his attacks in this state may inflict the eponymous status. If Zokket is targeted with a regular jump or hammer attack in this state, he counterattacks by firing 1-3 lasers which must be jumped over by the Bro. who just targeted him. The screen occasionally turns upside down during this attack. Zokket has an additional attack in this state where floats high above, breaking his pliers into dual swords to carve a triangle around his target and creating a triangular energy loop that closes in and rebounds; the enclosed Bro. has to jump over this wave, followed by the other during the wave's rebound. He can also use his previous moves which may be buffed in some way (ex. each thunderbolt attack targets both bros in sequence instead of only one).

If either Bro. ends a turn while afflicted with Glohm, Zokket gestures at him to join his side, to which the Glohmed Bro. complies. In this state, only the remaining Bro. will be controllable while the other becomes a targetable enemy, who is unable to use [[Battle Plug]]s.  Zokket commands him to perform hammer attacks on the other. If the unafflicted Bro successfully damages the other when his hammer is knocked away, this will cause both to lose [[Bros. Point]]s after the attack. The effect disappears after a while, though if the unaffected Bro. disarms the Glohmed Bro. without hurting him, their [[Bond]] will cause the Glohm will dissipate and he will rejoin the player's side. If Mario or Luigi is defeated while the other is Glohmed and under Zokket's control, a [[Game Over]] occurs.
