Yoshi's Island Zone is a level exclusive to the Wii U version of Sonic Lost World. It was announced and added to the game as free downloadable content on December 18, 2013. The level is based on the Yoshi's Island series and features various objects and characters from it such as Shy Guys, Piranha Plants, and Egg Blocks.

The level is set entirely in the 2.5D perspective and uses the same patchwork artstyle used for some of the grassland levels in Yoshi's Story. Additionally, rings and Red Star Rings are replaced by coins and Special Flowers respectively.

Once the level is completed, it will disappear from the map and reappear only when the player obtains 100,000 points.

Layout
The level starts in a flat field with a single Egg Block, followed by three Shy Guys, a platform with three coins, and a Piranha Plant with the first Special Flower and more coins on top. The Piranha Plant is followed by a Shy Guy and three platforms around another Piranha Plant. After two more Shy Guys, the player has to jump on a Spring Ball to reach a covered area with several platforms, a Shy Guy, and two Piranha Plants. Below, there is a blue Warp Pipe that takes the player to a sub-area with Shy Guys and a platform with several coins and a Special Flower, which the player can exit by entering another blue pipe that takes them to a platform above the previous pipe.

After three Shy Guys and a Star Post, the player has to cross a pit of Piranha Plants using rotating platforms immediately followed by a sonic. The player then reaches an area with more enemies, platforms, and an Egg Block, with another blue Warp Pipe that takes them to another sub-area with Shy Guys, Piranha Plants, coins, and a Special Flower. Back in the main area, the player will find another loop and more rotating platforms with two Piranha Plants guarding a Special Flower. The player will then encounter two platforms and a Piranha Plant guarding an Egg Block, which can be defeated by hitting it with a Shy Guy launched with a Flying Kick. After one last Shy Guy, the player will reach the Goal Ring, and all Yoshi Eggs collected from the Egg Blocks will hatch into Yoshis and give extra lives.

Special Flowers
*Special Flower 1: The first Special Flower is found above the first Piranha Plant, near the beginning of the level.
*Special Flower 2: In the first sub-area, the player must jump on a Spring Ball to reach a platform with coins and the second Special Flower.
*Special Flower 3: After the Star Post, the player has to jump on the top of the rotating platforms to grab the third Special Flower.
*Special Flower 4: In the second sub-area, the fourth Special Flower is found in a tunnel blocked by Piranha Plants that the player must defeat by doing Flying Kicks on Shy Guys.
*Special Flower 5: After the second loop, the player will find some rotating platforms with two Piranha Plants and the last Special Flower in the center.
