The island has a lot of trees and other vegetation. Its shelters feature roofs made of leaves and are held up by wooden poles. The [[Yoshi]] character is the only member of his species with the ability to communicate to [[Mario]] and translates on behalf of Mario when talking to the other Yoshis. [[Boshi]] becomes the self-proclaimed boss of Yo'ster Isle ever since winning the Mushroom Derby, but his reign ends when Mario and Yoshi defeat him in another ace.
