As [[Donkey Kong]] and [[Diddy Kong]] approach [[Thugly]], Xylobone arrives alongside other Tiki Tak Tribe members on an airship. Xylobone then hypnotizes Thugly to fight the Kongs before jumping off the ship to hide behind him.

In the final level of the game, [[Tiki Tong Terror]], Xylobone and the other high-ranking members of the Tiki Tak Tribe are converted into hands for [[Tiki Tong]].
