The '''Winter Tour''' was the fifth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on November 20, 2019 and ended on December 3, 2019. Reflecting its theme, [[DS DK Pass|DK Pass]] from ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'' made a return, and a variant of [[Mario]] in his [[Crazy Cap#Santa Hat|Santa outfit]] from ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]'' was introduced. In this tour, [[festive tree]]s were added on all courses featured; hitting one with an item during a race would grant "Happy Holidays!" bonus points. This tour also introduced [[Black Shy Guy]] and [[Pink Gold Peach]] as new drivers. Notably, this was the first tour to introduce R/T variants of [[classic course]]s (those being [[SNES Rainbow Road]], [[3DS Daisy Hills]], and [[3DS Mario Circuit]]), as before this tour, said variants of tracks were exclusive to [[new course]]s. The menu's background featured a backdrop for DK Pass and a festive tree as landmarks for this tour.
