The minigame opens with the wheel showing off every light, then the player presses a button on a pipe that rises out, activating the wheel.

The gameplay involves pressing the button again to stop the wheel for an item. If it points to [[Koopa Kid|Baby Bowser]] (replaced by [[Bowser Jr.]] in ''Mario Party Superstars''), which it lands on automatically if the player runs out of time, the player gets nothing.
