| | A Soarin' Stu is a type of Stu appearing in the game Super Mario Sunshine. They resemble a Strollin' Stu without feet wearing a blue pair of pants and having a set of insect-like wings on their backs that allows them to fly. They will often hover in one place, but when they notice Mario, they will start to approach him. When they are directly above Mario, they will swoop down, inflicting one point of damage on Mario. As with other members of their species, a simple squirt with F.L.U.D.D. and a stomp will defeat them. |

They are a flying variety of Strollin' Stu, resembling one but with a peach-colored skin and a blue bottom. Each Winged Strollin' Stu has no feet and a pair of wings that flutter rapidly. Winged Strollin' Stus idly hover in place, and if Mario is nearby, a Winged Strollin' Stu starts to fly towards him. When directly above Mario, a Winged Strollin' Stu swoops down, taking away a wedge of his life meter upon contact. A Winged Strollin' Stu can be defeated from either FLUDD or a stomp. In secret courses, Winged Strollin' Stus fly back and forth along a fixed trajectory. Winged Strollin' Stus have a larger, green variety named Swipin' Stu. | |
