'''Winged Clouds''',<ref>{{cite|language=en-us|date=2006|publisher=Nintendo of America|title=''Yoshi's Island DS'' instruction booklet|page=17}}</ref> or '''Question Mark Clouds''',<ref>{{cite|date=September 1995|title=''Nintendo Magazine System'' (AU) Issue #30|page=15}}</ref> are objects in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' (and [[Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3|its GBA reissue]]), ''[[Yoshi's Island DS]]'', and ''[[Yoshi's New Island]]''. They appear in nearly every [[level]], and when a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] hits a Winged Cloud with any projectile, such as a [[Yoshi's Egg]], it disappears and reveals its contents or triggers an effect. Winged Clouds can contain objects such as [[Smiley Flower|flower]]s, five [[star (Yoshi's Island series)|star]]s, [[extra life|extra lives]], and [[! Switch]]es, but they sometimes also create stairs or bridges or make [[coin]]s appear instead of revealing an item. There are Winged Clouds that contain even [[Bandit]]s. When being hit, a Bandit pops out and chases a Yoshi around to steal [[Baby Mario]]. Due to their function, Winged Clouds are considered ''Yoshi's Island''{{'}}s equivalent to [[? Block]]s. There also exists a [[Special Item (Yoshi's Island series)|Special Item]] in ''Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island'' called a [[Winged Cloud Maker]], which turns enemies into Winged Clouds.

Winged Clouds reappear in ''[[Yoshi's Woolly World]]'' and ''[[Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World]]''. acting the same as in previous games. They can be found hanging from strings in [[Lair of the Smooch Spiders]], thus appearing without their wings.

 

''[[Yoshi's Crafted World]]'' also has Winged Clouds, which act the same as they do in previous games. There is a [[Time Cloud]] variant that flips the stage when hit.

A Winged Cloud appears in the [[Yoshi's Island (race course)|Yoshi's Island]] course, which appears in the ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass|Booster Course Pass]]'' DLC for ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]'' and in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]''. Racers can hit the Winged Cloud while gliding to temporarily pop it, causing a bridge to appear. Hitting it in ''Mario Kart Tour'' also grants bonus points.
