If a Yoshi swallows one, then spits it out, the Whirly Fly Guy turns into a green [[Shy Guy]]. They are much like normal Fly Guys at first, but when a Yoshi attempts to throw [[Yoshi Egg|eggs]] at the Whirly Fly Guy, [[coin]]s start to appear from the Whirly Fly Guy. When the Yoshi throws enough eggs at the Whirly Fly Guy, one or two [[extra life|extra lives]] are awarded to the Yoshi as the Whirly Fly Guy is defeated. A Whirly Fly Guy is on the ground at first, but starts to fly off slowly when approached. A Whirly Fly Guy cannot be [[stomp]]ed, though it can be [[swallow]]ed and then spit out to become a green [[Shy Guy]].
