In the [[Nintendo DS]] remake, the beginning part of the track is under a cave and the positions of the waterfalls change. The original version does not have anything in this area, and so the player may skip it. It also seems to be more difficult to get on the top of the wrecked ship, as the whales appear to be smaller. This same shipwreck additionally has an open space for any hovercraft driver to drop into the water and come out from underneath.
