The '''Wario Bowl''' is a video game tournament hosted by [[Wario]] in ''[[WarioWare Gold]]''. It involves playing [[microgames]]. [[Alien Bunny|Alien Bunnies]] are staff for tournament.<ref>{{cite|quote=These critters are the perfect staff at Wario's tourney.|title=''WarioWare Gold''|date=2018|language=en}}</ref> The tournament is hosted in [[Diamond City Stadium]], and its 18 stages are spread across [[Diamond City]]. These stages are spread across three (later four) leagues, each based on specific inputs for the involved microgames. Each of the first three leagues, the Mash League, Twist League, and Touch League, has five stages to complete. They must be completed in sequential order. The first stage of these leagues takes place in a dedicated location. These are the [[Mash League Arena]], the [[Twist League Arena]], and the [[Touch League Arena]]. The final league, the Ultra League, is only added after completing the prior three leagues, and only has three stages. The final stage has the participant challenge Wario for the prize. The Wario Bowl's entrance fee is 10,000 [[coin]]s, and the grand prize is 10 million coins. Wario creates the Wario Bowl to regain money after realizing he is completely broke. It is inspired by a news report about [[Super Pyoro]]. Wario announces the tournament via a video he makes that is displayed on a screen in Diamond City. Wario also calls his friends to create microgames. Said friends also run most of the stages in the tournament.

With the event established, Wario heads to Diamond City Stadium. From a room with computers and the Alien Bunnies, he uses the stadium's jumbotron to explain the rules and structure to the crowd of people gathered to participate. Among them is the [[Mii|player]]. The Wario Bowl brings in oodles of money for Wario. Wario expects half of the gamers to give up, but when he checks he finds that they have completed eight of the stages. After the player completes the Mash, Twist, and Touch Leagues, Wario adds the Ultra League to the Wario Bowl. As part of the announcement, he bungee jumps off a balcony in Diamond City Stadium.

When the player clears the Ultra League, Wario declares himself the winner of the tournament and refuses to give the player the prize. Wario affixes the [[Pot of Luxeville]] to his head, which turns him into [[Wario Deluxe]]. He uses a basket attached to a set of balloons to float high above Diamond City Stadium, then fights the player. Midway through, Wario Deluxe uses his powers to prevent the player from seeing the guide depicting the inputs for the incoming microgames. Lulu later appears to help the player win, by popping some of Wario Deluxe's balloons then jumping up to Wario Deluxe to try and pull the pull the pot off his head. Lulu's interference stops Wario Deluxe's powers.

After all of his microgames have been completed, Wario Deluxe loses. His balloons pop and he and Lulu fall to the ground. Lulu takes back the Pot of Luxeville, reverting Wario Deluxe to Wario. The employees of [[WarioWare, Inc.]] arrive asking for their payment. While Wario tries to run away, a short scuffle ensues ending with them taking Wario's suitcase full of the money from the Wario Bowl. While most of it was spent, the employees split the remaining coins amongst themselves. They also give the player 10,000 coins. The player winds up with the Wario Bowl trophy.  

===Tournament Fee===

An entrance fee of 10,000 coins is required before any of the leagues can be started. Conveniently, the game gives the player this amount of money when starting up the game for the first time.  

The Wario Bowl is made up of four different leagues, each with unique sets of [[microgame]]s and that use different inputs.

All of the prior characters, excluding Wario, split up into two groups based on the genre of their microgames: The [[List of WarioWare Gold microgames#Dancing Team|Dancing Team]] has everyone with That's Life and Sports microgames, and the [[List of WarioWare Gold microgames#Potluck Gang|Potluck Gang]] has everyone with Fantasy and Nintendo Classics microgames. These stages reuse the microgames from the involved characters. [[Mike]] and [[Fronk]] introduce their own sets of microgames, which belong to the Mic and Pop-Up genres, respectively. They are present in both groups. Mike's microgames introduce the microphone as a input for microgames. Wario Deluxe is also fought in the Ultra League, with the genre Anything Goes. His stage consists of new microgames which can use the Mash, Twist, and Touch inputs. Three of them additionally call for the microphone. Wario's microgames are also included.

There are eight genres of microgames in the Wario Bowl, three of which are not introduced until the Ultra League is unlocked.
