The game allows the player to play [[microgame]]s and other content created with ''WarioWare: D.I.Y.'', though it does not require a copy of ''WarioWare: D.I.Y'' to be played.

Like its Nintendo DS counterpart, ''WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase'' includes a number of premade microgames divided into four different sets. The stages are hosted by ''WarioWare'' characters and each set is based around a certain theme, similar to ''[[WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!]]'' Seven of the 78 included microgames were carried over into ''[[WarioWare Gold]]'' in 2018.

Due to the closure of the Wii Shop Channel at the end of January 2019, this application is no longer available to purchase.

There are three ways to get microgames in ''WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase'':

The player has also the option to send microgames to other players. The two ways are:

==Game Blender==

The ''Game Blender'' alows the player to blend their microgames together to one Game Stage. Instead of playing one game at a time, the player will play multiple games in random order. The player can create their own D.I.Y. Mix Stages, with their microgames. The player can also play a Stage created by Wario and his remaining employees. As indicated above, there are four character stages with their own Microgames, each having a different story. When all the microgames of Wario and his friends have been accounted for, the player can unlock Shuffle Stages with all the microgames of Wario-Man Software.
