I have to disagree. THE Birdo does exist and it is the same flirty Birdo seen in SMRPG and MLSS. She also appears in the Mario sports series. The ring does distinguish her from regular Birdos. Goop is not really an item, like Paper Jorge said, it's more like an obstacle, and thus would fall into the category "Traps and Obstacles". For the items page, you may want to list Goop under the Magic Paintbrush (by using two "*" instead of one). Even though it's not an item, Goop comes from an item and can have a place on the items page. I believe Birdo should remain as one article. I know Yoshi and Toad have both a character and a species page, but this is because Yoshi and Toad started out as independent characters, and were eventually transformed into a larger species. Birdo, on the other hand, started out as a species. There were many types of Birdos in SMB 2, some red, some green, some that shot eggs, and some that shot fire. Birdo became a character afterwards, in SMRPG I believe. However, unlike Yoshi again, although there is a Birdo character, it is not confirmed that all Birdos named Birdo are the same Birdo character. The Birdo from SMRPG may be named "Birdo" but she may not be the same on from Double Dash or M&L: SS. Ultimately, the article should just be named Birdo. In each game, Birdo should either be talked about as a species or as a character (or as both, like in Mario Superstar Baseball).
