RE: Proposal
Good evening FD09. :)
This is the actual link to Princess Daisy's gallery: Gallery:Princess Daisy. In the main article, there's already a link to the gallery under the header "Image Gallery". Under that header, it will say "For pictures, see this subject's Gallery". Hope this helps. BTW, for Baby Daisy, that gallery isn't even large enough to have it's own gallery page. --RAP... 08:30, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
The Recent Edits To Daisy's "Mario Party Series" section
Hey there, FD09; nothing personal, but the recent edits that you did on that section of Daisy's article were a bit much because from what I (and possibly others) have read, it's not focusing on Daisy herself (instead, it's focusing on all participants), hence the revert. Once again, nothing personal, but that's what I encountered in the recent edit history on this article from you. The article itself was all right before you placed in those unnecessary additions which took away the focus on Daisy herself from what I saw. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! Revert on Walkazo's edit
Once again, no offense, but I see that you reverted an edit done by Walkazo on the Princess Daisy article (when he took out sections under the Relations to Other Characters). Care to explain why? Because this tells me you're saying that those characters DO count in regards to Daisy interacting with them, and should not have been touched. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 19:03, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I had to do another rollback again on the Princess Daisy article again just now -- but against two people -- but what I wrote is what you're also trying to say, right? (which is: "Seriously, think VERY carefully before inserting/changing stuff around.)" --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 14:37, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
Waluigi
Hello. I reverted your edit to the Waluigi page because it was causing a software glitch, not because I disagreed with the edit itself. See this. - 2257(Talk) 17:42, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
RE: Images
I'm not sure what to say...except ask you a series of questions:
- Do you have any emulators at your disposal? From the earliest, to the latest? (Direct way to snapshot very clear images, but slow because you have to get were you need to go)
- Alternatively, what kind of websites do you use if you can't get what you find? (Mine is GameKult, mainstream and underground game sites, and most of the time Google - if you do creative ways to type good keywords)
- Do you have a compression program that can compress your images without the loss of quality? PNG in particular? Additionally, do you have tools to clean up white remains when it comes to seeing character artwork? (Improves image compression)
I asked you these questions to determine the stuff I can assign to you, or if optional - you can request a list of what kind of game you want to focus on. I can't replace all the images alone, since I'm still having my time doing image maintenance (it's day 14) so I need assistance. If you have any additional details regarding your experience on uploading images like other image uploaders, feel free to provide more info. --RAP... 21:46, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Damn - it's been quite a while since I went to that press room. I don't quite remember it but it was rather generic. I'll try telling you when I remembered it enough. BTW, please answer the questions above (I'm about to do some more MarioWiki maintenance on images within a moment, but it will not be my primary focus). --RAP... 20:48, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Ah, OK. I'll give you something to do - from the Nintendo 64 era: Mario Tennis (N64)
- http://www.mariowiki.com/File:Matchup.PNG
- http://www.mariowiki.com/File:Yoshitennis.PNG (artwork, optional)

The image must be no larger than 640 × 480 (likely due to emulation issues, as it cannot properly emulate certain parts that make it look like the actual image, additionally it would look weird when it's scaled up). It must be also PNG, and due to the fact you're going to upload PNG files - I think it's time for you to give you a compression tool that I use for the majority of the png images: PNG Monster. --RAP... 03:23, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Re: Policy
I don't know where it is, actually. My main computer can't load the proposals archives, and all I've found while using the laptop is one voting down the removal of those sections. I'm sure there was an agreement since then to at least moderate them, but not destroy them, but I haven't dug it up yet, I'm afraid. It could also be in the main page's talk archive - I recently found a discussion there which I could have sworn was a proposal... - Walkazo 05:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Fair enough: I usually try to find the actual proposals or conversations as well, but my lousy memory for dates trips me up more times than I'd like to admit. However, I do request that you don't re-add the "Other Characters" section to Daisy's page, since that goes against how every other Relationship section is organized: if you really feel that Toad and Toadette deserve to be mentioned, they should get individual sections. - Walkazo 06:38, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Huh?
This might be a bit random, but Dry Dry King basically interupted important conversations just to ask to be friends.I <3 BVB!!
Hey, aren't you the voice actress for Daisy? I might be wrong, but I'm under the impression you are.I <3 BVB!!
Koopalings' images
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by sharpening the artwork's outline. In terms of making images transparent, I have to remove the white background color and initially replace it with transparency for efficiency, and clarity (for those background colors in the wiki). One possible reason would be that the wiki's image rendering system had to resize the PNG image to the intended thumbnail size the article is supposed to be viewed (in comparison to JPG images, it will go for the same thing, but defects will appear on the image, and around it). The resized image wouldn't be like a zoomed out original size image that actually shows the flakes (Use Firefox or IE that has the zoom option on a large image you are viewing and zoom out to see the image being sharp: like File:DK_DKSwing.png). But again, I'm still not sure. Can you clarify this a bit further? --RAP... 07:15, 22 August 2010 (UTC) Still don't actually get it, I recently uploaded compressed images (during image maintenance - almost to the end!) with transparency and they look great. I suppose it's the defects around the image when the image used to be in JPG form that makes it less sharp.
If you didn't get your response in your talk page (which is here), I changed up the communication a bit - that I only make comments in my own talk page. My comment responding to yours is in there. :o --RAP... 08:30, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

PNG Compressing
- I want to let you know that RAP is doing a project which involves compressing every single PNG image on the Mario Wiki. Please don't oppose his work by reverting PNG images to their non-compressed forms, as image compression makes it easier for people to view large images. M&SG (talk) 13:14, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Screenshot Requests
- Are you referring to Super Smash Bros. Melee? M&SG (talk) 17:59, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
- I would only be able to pull that request off with Dodgeball, as the other sports will display the current score whenever you get a good view of the character. M&SG (talk) 08:04, 13 April 2011 (EDT)
- I was only displaying the alternate outfits for the Final Fantasy team characters; Ninja, White Mage, and Black Mage. It's not like I was doing that for all the characters. Also, I had to crop the images so that they're easier to see in thumbnail view. M&SG (talk) 08:15, 19 April 2011 (EDT)
- Then I guess that means that the Melee images that I uploaded can't be cropped either; for example, the Mewtwo and Ganondorf trophies.

Daisy Third Eye Issue
- If the third eye note is not trivia worthy, can it be mentioned in Daisy's Super Smash Bros. series section? I'm sort of puzzled right now. M&SG (talk) 09:02, 6 September 2011 (EDT)
- So basically, the image is not needed. Understood. M&SG (talk) 13:53, 6 September 2011 (EDT)

Princess Daisy (film)
I've been gone from the Wiki for quite a few months but I'm back to do some work on articles related to the film. I noticed you did a lot of expansion on the Princess Daisy (film character) article I created so I just wanted to thank you. I'm going to be doing a lot of rewrites and expansion myself since I'm more familiar with the backstory of her character that wasn't seen in the film but it really is a big help to be able to work off something already there. Re:WHOA
Eh… I told Porplemontage how to fix it. It was caused by some sort of a glitch in the wiki's caching software that prevented the list of ip addresses that had tried too many incorrect passwords on a given account from being cleared. The feature that normally checks that list and stops you from logging in if you're on it is disabled now, so it shouldn't cause a problem again in the future. - 2257(Talk) 06:40, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Mario Sports Mix Materials
I just got your message from your "other account"; you still haven't told me about that White Mage art for Mario Sports Mix that you have edited from that White Mage/Black Mage team pic that Lindsay151 uploaded to these parts earlier (and as I said on your other talk page, I too have asked her where she got said materials from; I tried searching foreign gaming news websites and turned up with nothing). --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 07:08, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
- No, I didn't say that there wasn't anything wrong with what you're doing; it's fine so far. And I'm still waiting on Lindsay151 to answer our question on said MSM arts she recently uploaded here. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 07:20, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Daisy Picture Revert
I just noticed in the history for the Princess Daisy article that you changed the picture to the "team art for Peach/Daisy" for Mario Sports Mix. While I have no objections to this since Mario Sports Mix got released, I don't really recall an agreement being reached that it would be the picture to be used. Unless you're trying to aim for showing the best pictures that represent Daisy well on the article itself. Trying to figure it out here. *rotfl* --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! Another "revert"...
Explain to me where we are allowed to mention unlocking criteria in character articles, because I honestly believe the unlocking criteria was primarily for the game articles themselves. Nothing personal, but it's like you're saying that my recent edits are just useless because it takes away from everything being comprehensive. o_O --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! "Mario Sports Mix" Player Cards from SI Kids
Hey there, I just noticed you got those cards from that Sports Illustrated Kids site (I was wondering the same thing). But anyway, I also noticed you placed them in the character articles as well; I suggest you'd better "resize" them for it's making the character articles a bit weird in their respective sections. That is, unless someone is planning to make a template showing those same Mario Sports Mix character statistics, then that's another story. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! Re:MSM request
Request M&SG (talk) as well, because I don't have all characters unlocked. Also about close-ups: you can't actually move the cmera directly to the character without cheating, and those cheats were not yet released. Maybe, just character in action perhaps? SWFlash

Look, I have no idea what's wrong with the fact that I'm making the image transparent.-.-. It's not a big deal the sides aren't as smooth. And I didn't get what you mean about the cropped screens.-- UhHuhAlrightDaisy/Archive 7 has been hijacked by UW and his army of edits! Derp.
Transparent
Seriously? What is wrong with you. I don't see the problem of the image being transparent. I don't get why you revert all images that become transparent.:/--UM3000
- UhHuhAlrightDaisy: He's right. Transparency is considered good here. The admins had a discussion on this and agreed that UltraMario, and others, are totally legitimized in making images transparent. Please don't revert any more edits like that or further action will have to be taken. (

- I'm an admin and I'm verifying what MG1 said. XzelionETC
- Well, I believe you asked MG1 "Where's an admin to verify this is the consensus?" if you want more people to verify this, I'll be happy to ask all the admins on the board to verify this too. XzelionETC
- Then how do my transparent images get deleted? Bowser Jr! Tom The Atum!
- Well, I believe you asked MG1 "Where's an admin to verify this is the consensus?" if you want more people to verify this, I'll be happy to ask all the admins on the board to verify this too. XzelionETC

@Xzelion: Thanks, you're too kind.
@UhHuhAlrightDaisy: I'm an admin, and I'll verify what I said, if Xzelion wasn't enough. Now please don't talk back to admins; especially not every single admin at once. Trust me, there's a 90% chance we know what we're doing; if you have a problem, politely respond with your reasons. Your attitude towards me, and by extent, all of my colleagues, will not be tolerated. (
| )
- Actually, I never considered the "Oh Yeah?" to be attitude, I was referring to pretty much everything after you said "You can't just say that something like that happened." I can just say something like that happened, and other admins don't need to testify anything. You'll just have to trust that I'm not lying to everyone about admin decisions. It is my job to administrate this website. "Using my authority to put you down" is the last thing I am doing, I am using my authority to prevent a dispute over transparency in images, and I am also using my authority to prevent a user from challenging the authority of the administration. In short, I am using my authority in the ways it is supposed to be used. So please, don't turn this into an argument over how "right" or "wrong" I am, the reason I contacted you was to let you know that UltraMario is correct; not to debate my legitimacy as an administrator. So please, talk about the transparency, or don't talk at all. ( | )
