Uploads[edit]

Hello, when filling out file summaries, don't remove or replace the "aboutfile" text. That's the name of the template used to display file details, and the only parts you need to replace are the fields underneath it ("Subject of the image", "Where you found the image" etc.). Any fields you're not using can just be removed.

For file categorisation, read the reminder below. Basically uncategorized should be replaced with a category link based on what game it's from (e.g. for an image from Super Mario Party, you add ).

Finally, I strongly suggest linking and crediting where you got the images from, especially if it's from a sprite- or model-hosting website like Models Resource, and you should upload all of the images you have in one go before adding them to the gallery, rather than uploading and adding one at a time.

Hello, ThePuppetThing. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Titles with console identifiers[edit]

When formatting game titles with console labels after it like "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)", the "(Wii)" part is not part of the title and shouldn't be in italics, so it should go outside them, formatted like this:

With links:

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)

Without links:

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)
