Puchipuchi L
Have you checked in the Advance 3 Guide? Is there any mention of the Puchipuchi Ls in Hookbill the Koopa's Castle? They appear in a secret area, where you get a red coin upon defeat both of the two. -- FanOfYoshi 12:01, 14 September 2018 (EDT)
- Ps: You can answer to me in my talk page even when i am offline, i would check when i am online. And forgot to say, it's in the english guide. -- FanOfYoshi 13:41, 14 September 2018 (EDT)
- So, then, what's the English name given? Does it gives it a specific name, or is it simply called Milde? -- FanOfYoshi 03:57, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
- For Huffin Puffin, i voted support because of relevant different Languages, appearance of the chicks, adult being killed upon stepping on it, and chicks also functionned differently. -- FanOfYoshi 13:42, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
- Ps: Personally, i think for the Thwomp to be merged only if the Japanese name is different. -- FanOfYoshi 13:45, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

Rainbow Tap-Tap
Hey, i was wondering if the Japanese guide for Yoshi's Topsy Turvy (if you have one) makes any mention of the Rainbow Tap-Tap. They are found in the second phase of the final battle. Does it give it a proper name, or just call them Tap-Tap without the word "flashing"? -- FanOfYoshi 10:44, 20 September 2018 (EDT)
- Since you can go to interfile names, do you own Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island? what is the pallete's code for the Caged and Dangling Ghost? And what's the codename for respectively The Potted Ghost, Caged Ghost and Dangling Ghost's faces? -- FanOfYoshi 13:08, 20 September 2018 (EDT)
- Speaking of Japanese names, how have you found out that Koryaku is unofficial? For Gurindai, i found out that the Japanese name source comes from a Koryaku Guide. -- FanOfYoshi 11:38, 21 September 2018 (EDT)
Yoshi Shogakukan
Hi! I presume you're the one to go to for reading/translating Japanese text? So I found several tweets containing pretty rare scans from the Shogakukan guide for Yoshi, particularly a story containing various dinosaurs (including a tall, unknown yellow one). Could you provide a translation of the story? Thanks! --Zootalo (Talk)
Bowling Goonie
Hey, i see that you know many Japanese names, and you are a pro at Japanese. My latter question is here. Also, i'm sure they appeared as enemies themselves without being first Hefty Goonies, and then spat out. -- FanOfYoshi 13:05, 27 September 2018 (EDT)
SMBE
Dark Horse has failed us, they pulled another Arts & Artifacts "remove all accents" thing. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:15, 9 October 2018 (EDT)
- While I was expecting shenanigans of some sort, I wasn't expecting them to sink lower than the Arts & Artifacts practice. That's at least somewhat justifiable, but this is just ridiculous. What happened to the Hyrule Historia team? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:08, 23 October 2018 (EDT)
Internal filenames
Interestingly, you can go in the Yoshi's New Island internal filenames, this may be useful for Model Ressource in which there are missing models. Such as the Chick Ravens, Ukikis, Tap-Taps, Harry Hedgehog etc... Well, what's the codename for the texturing that use Dangling Ghost and Caged Ghost for their faces? -- FanOfYoshi 04:45, 25 October 2018 (EDT)
SMBE findings
Hi there! I saw on the proposals page your very detailed examples of the enemy names taken from the mario wiki. I wanted to add them to the book's wiki page (as I added the section there originally), but I dont want to directly copy your own findings. Do you think you could add them? ~ Qyzxf (talk)
SMBE JP SML2
Hi, I was wondering if "Furiko" and the individual names for the Three Little Pigheads have any basis in the Japanese version of the guide. Can you check that for me? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:37, 4 November 2018 (EDT)
Raven
So since the proposal failed, should we move that page to "Big Kyutyan?" Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:12, 5 November 2018 (EST)
Spike Top artwork
Then why was it in all those other shogakukan that were before any other games featured them? Official art for a game isn't necessarily concept art for said game, anyways. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:18, 13 November 2018 (EST)
Squeaks
It was originally disambiguated for the original Quawks design's fan name. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:27, 13 November 2018 (EST)
- Still, since Quawk's page was originally there, our current redirect policy says it should stay as a redirect to it, as it's been heavily revised. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 07:31, 18 November 2018 (EST)
- It was updated because many other sites link here, and we don't want them going to blank pages if something's moved. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 08:11, 18 November 2018 (EST)
Baby Cheep Japanese names
Have you found any Japanese names for the Baby Cheep? The article doesn't mention the Japanese name, and i've asked the question in the talk page a few months ago, but no one seemed to answer me. -- FanOfYoshi 10:58, 18 November 2018 (EST)
Commas and name citations
"Had" a certain administrator? Which one would that be? If it's a certain specific one, I might not pursue the issue for the time being. Though honestly, I think my way looks better regardless, and I'm pretty sure I've seen multiple admins change it to the way I do it as well; that's actually why I started. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:55, 19 November 2018 (EST)
RE:Spear Guy (toy)
Yes. The help menu in my version of the game calls them so. -- -- KOOPA CON CARNE 13:36, 21 November 2018 (EST)
- So far, the only elements with different names in the PAL version are Shy Guys (Spear Guys) and Polterguys (Phantom Guys). Their snippets of information are written a little differently too. I don't know about other snippets though, because I don't know how they're written in the American version. It's very probable there are some differences still, since the American text tends to refer to Mini Mario at singular whereas the European version only refers to the toy at plural. -- -- KOOPA CON CARNE 16:28, 21 November 2018 (EST)
RE:Big Bertha
FUꟻ, then stop hitting the blunt! No, seriously, you should maybe think more before you write something under a user's talk page, and give yourself some more time so that you can calm down and not immediately start writing after you read that. I don't think that you are someone who writes something rude to somebody and not regret it later (in contrast to me). VOIDTHIS (talk) 18:40, 23 November 2018 (CET)
Color variations: Toads vs Yoshis
Because more games give differently-colored Yoshis distinct abilities than Toads, even if that's still not very much. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:11, 23 November 2018 (EST)
Spriter's Resource
I'm pretty sure past logos have indeed parsed it with an apostrophe, it's gone through a few now. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:35, 24 November 2018 (EST)
Needlenoses
Hey, i noticed that Yoshi's New Island's guide didn't have an entry on Needlenosess, and only had an entry for the normal Pokey. What does its description says here? Also, what is the description on the Yoshi's Island DS Guide? Because it seems that the latest appearance of the Needlenoses are with Pokeys together. What are the Yoshi's New Island internal filenames for the following Needlenoses? Those spat out by Blow Hards, Sanbo Flowers, thrown by Ukikis and jungled by Pokeys? And those for both colors of Needlenoses. -- FanOfYoshi 02:12, 25 November 2018 (EST)
- Ps:You can reply to me even if i'm offline. I may check when i'm online again. Also, the article implies that the Nintendo Power guide says that Tap-Tap the Golden is Tap-Tap the Red Nose revived, though it says "Tap-Tap the Golden is back" instead of "Tap-Tap the Red Nose is back" that would imply that the Nintendo Power team thought Tap-Tap the Golden once appeared in another level. Can you translate the description on Tap-Tap the Golden to be sure if it's Tap-Tap the Red Nose reived? Reply me to all those question, and as i told you, you can reply to me even if i'm offilne. -- FanOfYoshi 06:08, 26 November 2018 (EST)
Mask and Birdface
I'm actually thinking of having Birdface (the boss variant) split, since it's such a specific variation that I don't think even had the same palette in the original. Could be wrong about that, but pretty sure the non-enemy ones were on the scenery layer instead of object. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:54, 28 November 2018 (EST)
A question on Dark Horse
Do you know if the blue-covered Zelda Encyclopedia (which from what I can tell isn't even a translated guidebook) in a similar boat to Dark Horse's SMBE regarding what their sourcing is? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:11, 1 December 2018 (EST)
- ....so from your wording, I take it they made that awful, evil insinuation that Termina is just a figment of Skull Kid's imagination and the whole of the game was ultimately pointless, utterly gutting the greatest game ever made? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:14, 2 December 2018 (EST)
- Well. Now I'm thoroughly angry. Does NoA just not screen things anymore? Obviously, this "direct link" between LA's and MM's plots is clearly a load of hooey. And while Termina being just that is technically possible within the game's own context and tone, calling it definite is just so maddening. Hurf. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:43, 3 December 2018 (EST)
- My parents ended up getting me it (potentially for very little money from a Toys R Us liquidation sale) just to complete the set, so I'll be able to see what silliness lies within if I take it out of the plastic. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:55, 7 January 2019 (EST)

That old Ganon is no match for the king!
To be honest, in that Boss Bass proposal edit summary, I was just using "ship" as a weird disguise for sorta-swearing. I've been up too late. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 06:52, 5 December 2018 (EST)
RE:Shell Dash
Okay, but keep in mind that Nintendo does have a history of inconsistent capitalization, especially in the Mario & Luigi series. (T|C) 11:36, 6 December 2018 (EST)
Blurp Bass
A while back, you had Red Blurp and Blue Blurp split. However, many of their graphics are recolored from each other, Blue Blurp has a blatantly-recolored official artwork, and both of them are mentioned in the am section of that one guidebook, albeit that being where their separated JP names came from. Should they potentially be merged again? I'm also curious about the infobox artwork, might it be intended for the regular Cheep Cheep, since Red Blurp had the same model, just larger, somewhat anatomically longer, and with anatomically smaller eyes? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:13, 7 December 2018 (EST)
- Couldn't have been the website, the artwork there was dithered to oblivion. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:52, 7 December 2018 (EST)
RE:Switch Panel
I'd say it's better to bring up with an admin, since it's hard to know which name takes priority here. (T|C) 16:51, 15 December 2018 (EST)
Big Bullet Bill
Nope, that plain and simply does not happen. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:36, 19 December 2018 (EST)
Big Magikoopa
The reason I mentioned Giant Kamek on the Big Magikoopa page but not Kamella is the Japanese name being a portmaneau of Deka and Kamekku. I would suggest not putting Kamella on that page unless you want to start doing things like listing Petey Piranha on the Big Piranha Plant page or something like that. I considered them to be close enough to the same idea to just be an alternate name for the same basic idea. Kamella falls outside of that due to being "Boss" Kamekku. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:55, 20 December 2018 (EST)
Smash Run enemy disambig
[1] Then creation of disambiguation pages with links to trophies, stickers and spirits would apply to every Subspace Army enemy, Assist Trophy and Pokemon with a spirit. The list pages consolidate any info on those characters into a single page (not necessarily only related to Subspace / Smash Run or their Assist / Poke Ball role, e.g. Octoroks in Melee and WarioWare or Palkia in Spear Pillar), so if someone's looking for spirit details, they can just be mentioned and linked to on the list page. Their roles as enemies, Assist Trophies etc. are also more significant, so for that reason too, these should stay redirected to there. Mario JC 06:10, 21 December 2018 (EST)
Yoshi's Story Bee
Hey, since a proposal is running, i want to ask you a question. What does the Bee description says? Does it applies to both big and small type, or just to the big ones? -- FanOfYoshi 06:55, 19 January 2019 (EST)
- The small variation in-game is a bunch of white dots. The large variation is sometimes in smaller groups, I think. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:37, 20 January 2019 (EST)
Missile and Purple Bill
By splitting SMB3 Missile Bill page, don't you mean merging it to the regular Bullet Bill page? Unlike Bouncing Bill and Boo Guy case, this one has behavioral changes. Yes, i know that it was due to technical limitations, but i think it is intended to move like that as it is an U-Turn. Admittedly, there's hardly a connection between the Purple Bill and Bull's Eye Bill because of the Super Mario Pia. If the Super Mario Pia doesn't mention its older appearances, does it means that it was intended to be a new type of Bullet Bill unlike the other cases i brought up? -- FanOfYoshi 11:14, 24 January 2019 (EST)
SM64 guide
Found this linked from the Scuttlebug page, what does this refer to the fire-spitting Piranha as? It doesn't seem to match any of the currently-listed names, and I can't tell which size it is (though location indicates it's big). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:41, 25 January 2019 (EST)
- Looks like "Pakkun Flower", but i don't know for the first word. Let's wait LinkTheLefty's answer. -- FanOfYoshi 02:48, 25 January 2019 (EST)
- Hence why I asked him @_@ Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:36, 25 January 2019 (EST)
- It's "チビ島のパックンフラワー" (Chibi Shima no Pakkun Furawā, or Tiny Island Piranha Plant), as mentioned here. Niiue (talk) 03:55, 25 January 2019 (EST)
- What Niiue said, although the proper form would be "Chibijima" according to in-game mission titles. LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:16, 25 January 2019 (EST)
