Uploading

Hello. Just letting you know that when uploading files, in addition to a brief description, they should be added with an image category and license, similar to how I've done it here. I would suggest using the default Special:Upload function for this instead of the text editor's upload function that you used for your recent uploads as it's easier to add the appropriate information.

• You'll find an image category through the subcategories in Category:MarioWiki images. So for a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate image, from Category:MarioWiki images, you'd find it by going to "Images by game" --> "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Images", then you simply add that as a category link to the file: [[Category:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Images]]. When you upload on Special:Upload, this should replace {{uncategorized}}.
• A license is added depending on what type of image it is. On Special:Upload, you simply select it from the "Licensing" drop-down menu. If it's a game screenshot, for example, just select "Video game screenshot". Mario JC 22:44, November 4, 2019 (EST)

In addition, if there's an image you don't need anymore, just mark it for deletion by adding {{delete}} on the file page. However, if you have a better version of an image and both images are the same file type (png, jpg etc.), you can simply use the "Upload a new version of this file" under "File history" on the existing image's page. Now that you're using Special:Upload, please remember to follow the steps explained above next time. {{uncategorized}} must be replaced with an image category (in this case, [[Category:Mario Golf 64 Images]]); additionally, for the {{aboutfile}} part, if you're not using any parameters (like "Other versions (use file link)", just remove that entire line. RE: Image Deletion

The source image you cropped the logo from (File:Mario Kart 64 Original Soundtrack Cover.jpg) was jpg which you saved as png, was what I meant. It's possible you did it by accident but preferably the file format should be the same as it is in the source as policy explains. Mario JC 23:08, November 5, 2019 (EST)

Re: Page creation

Emulator Screenshots

You may want to retake screenshots of your recent uploads by uploading them in their native resolution. They will look better that way and leave a much smaller footprint. Audio

Hello. Please make sure that your audio files are uploaded as .oga and not .ogg. This is due to policy with both our site and xiph, the creator's policy on the naming scheme. You can directly change it on the upload file page and it will work just fine. Thanks! Trig - 22:06, January 9, 2020 (EST)

Italics

Keep in mind that titles (for games, series etc.) should be italicised, so Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour must be formatted as Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. (See MarioWiki:Manual of Style#Italicizing titles.) Mario JC 04:14, January 10, 2020 (EST)
