Categories[edit]
Hello, Granivolus. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: [[Category:Super Mario World images]]or [[Category:Super Mario World media files]] Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Please note that just removing {{uncategorized}} won't suffice; categories should be added, like this: [[Category:Super Mario Odyssey Images

Signing[edit]
Hello, please remember to sign your comments with 4 tildes (~~~~
). Just remove the <nowiki> and <code> tags and you'll be set. Thanks! TheDarkStar 22:39, June 6, 2019 (EDT)
File names[edit]
Hello. Please try to give your images more descriptive names, too, like "File:Luncheon Kingdom regional coins 10-12.jpg" as opposed to simply "File:10-12.jpg". Thanks for contributing. Mario JC 23:49, June 6, 2019 (EDT)
- Oh, sure thing! is there a way I can edit the names of already uploaded files? Granivolus (talk) 23:54, June 6, 2019 (EDT)
Indentation[edit]
You can indent on a talk page by putting a colon (:) before your comment, using more colons if the comment above yours already uses one or more colons. In that case, simply use one more colon than they did, unless the indenting has gone to tenth-level indents or you want to start a new discussion under that same header. Thanks! - Ah, again, thank you! I apologize about all this stuff, just trying to make sure I get things fine and well done. Granivolus (talk) 00:01, June 7, 2019 (EDT)
