It's also pretty subjective and not really comparable. The Comet Observatory is a lot different from the room in LM aside from the fact that they're both observatories, which isn't enough of a connection between them to mark one as a reference to the other. - Turboo (talk) 19:53, 24 April 2014 (EDT)
The microscope is the only thing in the observatory of Luigi's Mansion. The microscope reappears in a part of the observatory in Super Mario Galaxy but serves no function. It is a reference.
