Writing[edit]
Please stop making unconstructive edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You need to check your writing before posting your edits. Edits like this are unprofessional and are just plain bad writing. This is just a friendly reminder. LuigiMaster123 23:46, 14 September 2017 (EDT) Yo LuigiMaster123
thank you for informing me of my mistake and helping me get it removed
i will make sure to avoid such mistakes in the future

- Please also avoid subjective and strategic writing, such as use of words like "easy", and using "you"s on articles. We write in third-person, so we use "the player", or the character's name, instead. I would suggest giving this a read. Mario JC 21:47, 20 October 2017 (EDT)
RE: Killing Game Requests[edit]
Hey! I'm glad you took an interest in the Killing Game. You don't need any wiki permissions to join any future ones, though, as it was hosted entirely on our forums; you can view the rules page for the game here, and the main game thread here. Your ideas are interesting, and I might experiment with them in future games! Thanks for the feedback!!! LB (talk • edits • forum) 01:22, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
- Oh no, don't worry about having to sign up; the topics are in a public board accessible to guests like you, so there's no need to create an account. They may have trouble loading though, especially if you only have a 3DS. LB (talk • edits • forum) 02:00, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
Warning[edit]
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (creating articles for unofficial content) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Hi, please don't create mainspace pages for content unrelated to the Super Mario Wiki. Forum games are not covered on the site. Niiue (talk) 03:37, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
- Please leave new messages at the bottom of my talkpage. Anyway, as for the warning, the wiki only covers official Mario-related content. While The 'Shroom is part of the wiki, it's not official, and as such, doesn't belong in mainspace (hence why issues of The 'Shroom have their own namespace). Niiue (talk) 04:17, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
Comments[edit]
Hello. When commenting on a talk page, please remember to add the comment to the bottom of the page so there is a consistent timeline of comments. This can be easily done by clicking the "+" at the top of the page. 22:44, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
Hey[edit]
Like I said, I'm glad you took an interest in the Killing Game, but remember that the actual wiki isn't exactly the place for it. Post about it in your user pages, but don't post it on actual wiki articles or make articles for it.
Also, my Police Blotter sections aren't related to the Killing Game, and I haven't released a section of it recently due to time constraints. I hope you understand. LB (talk • edits • forum) 23:59, 17 September 2017 (EDT)
Signature[edit]
Dear CosmicBowser, Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures (signature is too big). Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you. |
Your signature should be able to fit in this box:
A suggestion would be to shrink the image to 35px (
) and removing any unnecessary text, like so:
<span style="font-family:serif;color:#FF0000>BroccollyGuy</span>( <span style="font-family:serif;color:#FF0000>talk</span> )
You also added line breaks to your signature's code, which is why the serif font isn't showing properly, if that was your intention, and why your signature takes up multiple lines when used on your talk page (as shown above), which also goes against policy. Mario JC 01:31, 19 September 2017 (EDT)
Userspace Warning[edit]
Dear CosmicBowser, It has come to our attention that you are currently in violation of the userspace policy. Please review the policy and abide by it, or else a warning will be issued. Thank you for your cooperation. |
You have been adding "Killing Game" stuff to your userpage quite extensively. Please contribute to the mainspace or else you will receive a warning. (T|C) 23:19, 20 September 2017 (EDT)
Re: 3 Questions[edit]
Both the Metroid and Pokemon sections are fair in Strategy Wing and won't be on Metroidwiki/bulbapedia. I intentionally allow a variety of franchises on The 'Shroom because it allows there to be more sections. There is no automated program that uploads The 'Shroom, I usually upload the issue when I wake up and/or have everything on release day. Meta Knight (talk) 02:45, 21 October 2017 (EDT)
RE: I Have a message (i am so tempted to say the Doctor, but it is me) and a question (from me)[edit]
The 'Shroom is not automated, it is uploaded by the director or sub-director of The 'Shroom come release day, provided everything is in place for it to be uploaded. Yoshi876 (talk)
RE: where is the shroom[edit]
Our Director Meta Knight (talk) hasn't gotten to uploading it yet. Don't worry, it will be up soon, just please be patient. Thanks! LB (talk • edits • forum) 16:02, 21 October 2017 (EDT)
Re: aMAZEing maze request[edit]
Hi, thanks for your suggestion! I'll be sure to note it down and take it into consideration! Lakituthequick 12:47, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Re: another question[edit]
Assuming the section is of acceptable quality with proper spelling/grammar, and passes the application check, then yes theoretically you could write about those games. Meta Knight (talk) 23:25, 23 October 2017 (EDT)
Andymii[edit]
Not very nice to notify someone saying something like "Hey, why aren't you responding?". Please be patient. 22:06, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
Re: hello i have no idea what to title this but i will anyway[edit]
Sorry for not replying earlier; it's just that what you're saying in your post isn't very coherent (no offense). Are you just telling me random facts?
(But thanks for reading my 'Shroom articles!!)
--Andymii (talk) 22:39, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
Why not add these facts straight to the wiki? You don't need my approval! --Andymii (talk) 23:07, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
Re: question[edit]
If you want to link files to SoundCloud instead of YouTube, that's fine. If you'd like to turn in an application and demo section, we can look over your links and give you feedback on them. Funky K 38 23:06, 29 October 2017 (EDT)
I've never had anyone use Scratch before, so you'd need to send in a demo so we can make sure it works. Funky K 38 10:09, 30 October 2017 (EDT)
Re: a few questions and requests[edit]
Yes it is possible to have your section be written bi-monthly or as just a once-in-a-while guest submission. As for the content, it should follow the The 'Shroom: Manual of Style. It does not have to be Mario but you would still have to send an application on the forums by following the rules on the sign up page. As for the length, I don't like giving an "it has to be x words minimum", so I would use your best judgement with that and look at some of the other sections in Strategy Wing as a guideline for how long it can be. For a minimum I would say something like about the length of Mario Kart: Wheel Tips Corner.Meta Knight (talk) 23:59, 12 November 2017 (EST)
RE: a few notes[edit]
Although Userpedia isn't particularly active, there are a few people who keep it tidy. And with User Interview, you will need to apply for it like all other 'Shroom positions. As to who you can interview, Userpedia, Mario Wiki, and the forums generally have the same people, so interviewing anyone from those places is acceptable. Yoshi876 (talk)
Userpedia[edit]
Hey, I'm the Steward of Userpedia and also the one who pays for the website to exist. My decision to close it is final and non-negotiable. I would appreciate it if you stopped bothering a bunch of unrelated people about it, thanks. - Hypnotoad (T|C)
RE:A few questions[edit]
Let's see what answers I can find:
- I don't think there's a user-specific infobox. There's character infobox you can copy the coding over from and adjust it to fit your wants, or you can create your own like mine(which I stole off of Lord Bowser (talk)'s page :P).
- Not sure what you're asking, but I think there's two ways to solve your issue:
- In Special:Upload, there is an option to upload from a Source url. Never used this myself, but I'm assuming you just plug in the url of the image you want and it will just upload whatever image it finds there.
- If you don't want to upload a new file specifically for your user page, you can just plug an image url onto your page: example https://www.mariowiki.com/images/thumb/7/75/Mario.png/262px-Mario.png becomes If it's an image you do want to upload to the wiki, best do so directly through the Source filename option in Special:Upload.
- What you are and aren't allowed to put on your userpage is covered at MarioWiki:Userspace and MarioWiki:Userboxes.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask :) 10:41, 5 March 2018 (EST)
