- FYI, your talk page isn't meant to hold your profile, it's meant for discussions with you. You should save the profile for when you're able to create your user page. 21:22, 12 May 2018 (EDT)
I was going to remove it when I am able to create my user page. Starclimber the NightWing (message) File:NightWing.png 22:42, 12 May 2018 (EDT)
RE: User page
Not sure why it says that, as the right to create discussion pages is accessible to everyone. Putting the reply here, though, so that your talk page can be created. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 16:18, 12 May 2018 (EDT)

Signature Tips
I see a few issues with you using signatures (~~~
)
- Raw code. See MarioWiki:Signatures for Super Mario Wiki's general policy and Help:Signature for help how to set one up.
- Embedding the entire image instead of a thumbnail. The wiki software that Super Mario Wiki uses can generate thumbnails if you specify the dimensions. 25px for a width should be appropriate for signatures: File:NightWing.png (

). More markup options can be found here.
You are not in trouble. Just helping out so that way things work smoothly for you. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 20:21, 16 May 2018 (EDT)
Images
First of all, good catch on File:Rogueport Map.PNG! Can't believe that spelling error went unnoticed until now.
Though keep in mind that when moving images, you need to correct links that lead to it. The best way to find all these are to go the the "What links here" option on the sidebar, which will give you all current links to the page. Tip: Start looking through templates first ;) 15:50, 18 May 2018 (EDT)
- I also want to take this time to say you've been editing userspace quite extensively, even before you became autoconfirmed. You've made one edit to the mainspace and one to a file other than your own, with the other ~90% of your edits being to userspace (yours and others) and MarioWiki namespace. While it is important for a community to get to know you better, do try to mix in more mainspace edits. Thanks! 16:30, 18 May 2018 (EDT)
Identifiers
While, yes, Donkey Kong is an arcade game, it's more accurate to just call it simply (game), since it's the only game named "Donkey Kong" and no further identification is needed. If you need more info on identifiers, please take a look at MarioWiki:Naming#Determining_the_identifier. 19:15, 26 May 2018 (EDT)

Hello, Bramblecloud. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, Bramblecloud. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Regarding this upload, I'm not sure what your intended purpose is. If you're planning to add it to a public article or gallery, please remember to fill in aboutfile appropriately and also remove uncategorized and replace it with the appropriate game category (in this case, Category:Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Images), both of which have already been done for you. If this is meant to be a personal image showing your racing record, please tag it with Starclimber the NightWing
. More information on personal images can be found here. Mario JC 22:11, 31 May 2018 (EDT)
- Please remember these steps to fill out the aboutfile template and categorize correctly. Oh, additionally, if you aren't able to provide a good quality image, please also include image-quality in your upload summary. 21:08, 29 June 2018 (EDT)
RE:Username change
You would go to MarioWiki:Changing username and make a new request at the bottom, following the instructions. However, you need to wait three months after your account creation date, which means you can make a request on August 12th. 00:06, 7 June 2018 (EDT)
- I do not have that right. You can make the request like I said above on the Changing username page on August 12th. 16:28, 22 June 2018 (EDT)
- Again, I do not have that right. Wait until August 12th, and then make the request on MarioWiki:Changing username. A bureaucrat will take care of rename and the inactive user as they see fit. 02:01, 24 June 2018 (EDT)
RE:Delete files
One's a file redirect, but it looks like it's still in use. Are you sure? 16:49, 22 June 2018 (EDT)
I don't use it anymore, so delete them. File:Koops - PMTTYD.pngKoops (message) 16:51, 22 June 2018 (EDT)
- Okay, they've been deleted. 16:55, 22 June 2018 (EDT)

Show preview
Hi, I've noticed that you've been making quite a few consecutive edits to your userpage. I recommend using the Show preview button located next to Save page. This will display how the page will look after the edit. Making a whole bunch of edits to your page in a row to make something look right (I assume that's what's happening) will stack up your userspace edits and possibly get you reprimanded.
(--) 19:16, 22 June 2018 (EDT)
- "Reprimanded" here means a Warning or a Reminder.

- P.S. Sorry for my late answer. I've been on vacation.
RE:Username change
In regards to what you said on Mario jc's talk page, let me just say that even though the account is inactive, the fact that it has legitimate edits alone is enough to not take that username. It's not uncommon for users to come back from hiatuses lasting several years (and perhaps even decades). You'll need to request another username. (T|C) 18:49, 25 June 2018 (EDT)
- Yeeeaah, trying to communicate with an inactive user likely isn't going to result in anything. 19:06, 25 June 2018 (EDT)

RE: Delete file
Done. If you need something deleted, you can just mark it with delete.
Also, I've noticed you use raw coding when you add your signature. You should create a signature page and place the code there:
<span style="font-family:serif;color:#008000">Koops</span> (<span style="font-family:serif;color:#008000">message</span>
After that, go to your preferences (also found at the top of the screen), and in the text field under "Signature", type in , tick the "Treat signature as wikitext" box and click save at the bottom of the page. Once you've done that, whenever you type ~~~~
to sign, your signature (
) comes up, not the individual images and text formatting. Mario JC 21:32, 28 June 2018 (EDT)
- You're still leaving raw code when you sign. Did you change your preferences? Mario JC 21:56, 29 June 2018 (EDT)
- Done. Starclimber the NightWing (talk) 21:40, 30 June 2018 (EDT)
- Still appears to be doing the same thing. Did you type in the text field and tick the "Treat signature as wikitext" box? Continuing to use raw coding for your signature will have it replaced with a standard username signature. Mario JC 22:36, 30 June 2018 (EDT)
You's
Hi. Just letting you know, according to the Manual of Style, using "you"s in articles is not allowed. Please use "The Player", "The Character", or "Mario" instead. Thanks! Yoshi Egg 1990 14:35, 29 June 2018 (EDT)
