Regarding mass edits[edit]

I take an unqualified guess that you're using Visual Editor when you edit pages. Regardless of if that is the case or not, instead of publishing an edit for what appears to be every change to paragraphs, I suggest using "Preview Edits" instead, a function that is everyone's best friend on wikis. It would certainly remove the need for massive text removals that would then be inserted again a minute later, and it also removes the need for 15-ish edits for the same page within 30min or so, a speed rate that normally raises big eyebrows on the Special:RecentChanges page. RE: Regarding mass text[edit]

Hey dude thanks for the tips. However, I'm struggling to identify where I can find the preview editor since the "pencil symbol" redirects me to the source editor.

It's the page directly after the source editor, when you click the arrow to proceed to publish. Before you hit "Save", it gives you a preview of what the page looks like with your changes. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 03:41, August 30, 2024 (EDT)

Images[edit]

Hello, BlockFAF. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below.

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, BlockFAF. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hi! Nice work uploading that DS Mario Circuit image,, but I have some information that'll help you!

When filling out the "aboutfile" template, be sure to remove any parameters you don't use. You did do good filling out the parameters you used though!

Also, below the aboutfile template, be sure to add a category for the image. You did do the licensing properly, but I'll tell you about how to categorize images. If it's from a game (like Mario Kart DS) add in . In this case, it would be . I already fixed everything up, but now you'll have this newfound knowledge to help you out!

One more thing - be sure to give your uploaded images a fitting name. If you don't, the image will be a string of numbers and letters. If you forget to name an image, you can move it to a better name. There will be a redirect for the old name though. Mark it for deletion (add in delete below the redirect code) and an administrator will delete it. Thank you and good luck! link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 13:12, August 29, 2024 (EDT)
