References[edit]
Hello, please read over MarioWiki:References and try to avoid drawing connections to non-Mario things that are only similar by coincidence and not intended as references (especially if some notes in a song might sound similar to another, unrelated song - That doesn't make that a reference to the song). Use your best judgement in deciding if the similarity was intentional by the developer/composer or not, like if it's a very obvious, unique melody or riff and if they would reference it (e.g. there's no reason Gerudo Town would intentionally sound like Sunshine Airport); if it's a bit of a stretch, then it most likely isn't a reference.
Also, the word is spelled "similar". Mario JC 19:32, January 12, 2025 (EST)
Italics/grammar[edit]
Hello! Thanks for your contributions. When writing titles for media like games, films, TV shows, and publications, please remember to italicize them. This is done by placing two straight apostrophes (not quotation marks or curly apostrophes) on both sides of the title, or clicking on the I icon above the text box and typing out the title. For example, typing out ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]'' generates Super Mario Bros.
If you are using a device that uses curly ("smart") punctuation, you may need to disable this function in your device's settings to be able to type out the correct apostrophes. |
Also, don't capitalise random words; only the first word of a sentence and proper nouns (e.g. names like "Mario" and "Goomba") should be capitalised. Mario JC 19:35, February 22, 2025 (EST)
