Long ? Blocks are a type of block introduced in Super Mario 3D Land. They are a lengthier variety of the ? Block, being three times the length of the standard block. Due to their larger size, they can release multiple items at once, such as two Coins and a power-up. When hit, they become long Empty Blocks, similar to their shorter counterpart.

Mario & Luigi series
While Long ? Blocks do not appear in the Mario & Luigi series, a variant of them does. The M and L block tower from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam and Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a Long ? Block that produces more long blocks above itself when hit; the block appeared in prior installments of the series, but as normal-length blocks instead.
