As Mario and Luigi are discussing how to divide a pizza evenly, Mario brings up the concern that if Uncle Tony showed up he would eat more than his fair share, thus forcing them to order more pizza.

In ''[[The Super Mario Bros. Movie]]'', Uncle Tony is shown living with [[Papa Mario]], [[Mama Mario]], [[Uncle Arthur]], [[Aunt Marie]], Mario, Luigi, [[Mario and Luigi's grandfather|their grandfather]] and [[Mario and Luigi's niece|niece]] all in the same household. He sports large glasses, a curly hairstyle, and a gap in his teeth and he is seen wearing a blue colored tracksuit jacket. He appears with Uncle Arthur during dinner mocking Mario and Luigi concerning their [[Super Mario Bros. Plumbing]] commercial. They both say various insults about their commercial and laugh that they should not leave their "day job". When Mario hurtfully storms off after his father accuses him of dragging Luigi down in his potential failure, Uncle Tony, along with the rest of the family, gives the father disapproving looks.
