This causes the UFO Spin to suck up objects such as coins inside vents in the ground. Using the UFO Vacuum on certain small platforms allows [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] to move around with the UFO Spin while carrying the platform, allowing them to shield from [[Lava Geyser]]s or move them around to set up extra platforms to jump across (as shown in the UFO Vacuum puzzle in [[Brrrning Sea]]'s [[Great Lighthouse Island]]).
