When an [[Yoshi Egg|egg]] (or a spit-up enemy) enters a tulip, the flower will toss out eight [[Star (Yoshi's Island)|star]]s. It will toss out eight stars. Like many other things in the ''[[Mario (franchise)|Mario]]'' series, Tulips have eyes. 

Also, three small Tulips appear in the [[minigame]] [[Tulip Shooter]].
