They are the "little ones" of [[Goomhilde]], who fled [[Bowser's Minions]] out of fear of fighting [[Smithy]], and ended up running a small shop in [[Monstro Town]]. After they are introduced to "[[Bowser|Uncle Bowser]]" by their mother, they offer their services as a way to help him get his [[Bowser's Castle|keep]] back. While their mother sells some equipment and refreshments, the only item the Triplets themselves sell is a variety of [[Mushroom]] that turns the party member it is used on into a [[Mushroom (status effect)|Mushroom]] (like the effect of the [[Funguspike]] or [[Petal Blast]] special moves).
