'''Trio Racquet''' is the first available [[Trio Attack]] for [[Paper Mario (Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam)|Paper Mario]] in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam]]''. After the brothers collect all [[Toad (species)|Paper Toads]] for the first time outside the castle, the Paper Toads create a folded giant hammer for Trio Attack, and a Toad delivers that to the bros in which Paper Mario gains this option to battle enemies. It costs 6 [[Bros. Point|BP]] and is the only Trio Attack in the game that is not initiated with the {{button|3ds|Y}} button, instead being initiated with the {{button|3ds|B}} button.

When the attack is initiated, a wall appears and sticks the enemies to it. A black ball appears and one of the brothers serves with their corresponding button ({{button|3ds|A}} for Mario, {{button|3ds|B}} for Luigi, and {{button|3ds|Y}} for Paper Mario). They then rally the ball against the wall, damaging the enemies in the process. The ball increases in speed the longer the brothers rally the ball, and the attack ends when a brother misses the ball at a pivotal moment, or misses twice altogether. After seven hits, the ball lobs toward either [[Mario]] or Paper Mario, while also increasing in speed. The attack ends in two different ways: if Mario gets the final hit, he spins and strikes the ball with his racquet. If Paper Mario gets the final hit, he folds himself into a Japanese paper fan and hits it.

Striking three, five, seven and ten times with the squash will yield an "OK", "Good!", "Great!" and "Excellent!" rating respectively.

==Attackathon==
In the [[Attackathon]], a pre-determined set of enemies show up. They are depicted on paper on the wall, which peels off after being hit to reveal the boss underneath it. The boss must be defeated by a final charged attack. A few enemies appear as cardboard roadblocks and only award points once fully destroyed.
*Round 1: The enemies are [[Goomba]]s, which take one hit, and [[Koopa Troopa]]s, which take two hits. The boss is [[Petey Piranha]].
*Round 2: The enemies are Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and [[Mechakoopa]]s, the latter taking three hits. A cardboard [[Bully]] drops down midway through. The boss is [[King Boo]].
*Round 3: The enemies are Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and [[Cheep Cheep]]s, the latter taking two hits and rebounding the ball at a slower speed. The boss is [[King Bob-omb]].
*Round 4: The enemies are Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and [[Ninji]]s, the latter taking one hit and making the ball speed up. A cardboard [[Big Tail Goomba]] drops down midway through. The boss is [[Bowser Jr.]]
*Round 5: The enemies are Mechakoopas, Cheep Cheeps, Ninjis, and [[Boos]], the latter taking three hits and making the ball temporarily invisible after being hit. A cardboard [[Thwomp]] drops down midway through. The boss is [[Bowser]].
After this point, the bosses and roadblocks appear in the same order, but different enemies can appear in each round. The game ends once a single command is missed.
