The Toad Brigade appears once again in Super Mario Odyssey. They manage and staff the Crazy Cap shop in the Mushroom Kingdom and the Lost Kingdom, and appear to be doing the same in Moon Kingdom. All three stores operate out of a Starshroom. Additionally, the Brigade is found exploring in the prior two kingdoms. They also explore the Dark Side, but only after Arrival at Rabbit Ridge! is complete. Certain Toad Brigade members have major game roles aside from being present for these occurrences.

Mailtoad is primarily the employee of the regional coin side of the aforementioned Crazy Cap shops, likewise, Yellow Toad works in on the regular coin side of these shops. Banktoad appears in three kingdoms, with differing roles in each. He opens the Crazy Cap in the Lost Kingdom. The blue Toad is named Hint Toad for the first time. He appears in almost every kingdom, telling Mario the location of a uncollected Power Moon in that kingdom at a cost of fifty coins each. It should be noted that there are two blue Toads in the Lost Kingdom; the other one does not have glasses and does not provide hints. Captain Toad appears in most kingdoms, giving Mario a Power Moon if spoken to for the first time in a kingdom; unlike in the Super Mario Galaxy games, he is usually in a separate location than the rest of his crew. The Toad Brigade's theme plays during the initial conversations with Captain Toad

The Toad Brigade's theme also plays while talking to him.

Toadette is added to the group, known in-game as "Archivist Toadette." She only appears in Peach's Castle, where she introduces an achievement system and rewards the player with Power Moons for each completed achievement. Achievement progress can be viewed by talking to her.
