Tic-Tac-Glow is a minigame that appears in Mario Power Tennis. Its name and gameplay are based on tic-tac-toe.
Tic-Tac-Glow is a minigame in Mario Power Tennis.

Gameplay
Overview
The minigame takes place in the Delfino Plaza Court, in which the player must shoot water balls to the opposite field filled with goop (3×3 goop spots) to free Shine Sprites. To score points, the players take turns trying to clear three squares of goop with the Shine Sprites underneath them. This is the only minigame in Mario Power Tennis that involves players taking turns. Water balls are shot out by pressing buttons to turn on the water nozzles only in the GameCube version. After a square is cleaned, the miniature Petey Piranhas soil the square again, allowing the player to accumulate points.
Set in Delfino Plaza Court, players take turns shooting water balls from the nozzles to 3×3 goop spots on the opposing side to free Shine Sprites for points. Once a spot is cleared, the side becomes covered in goop again by Petey Piranhas soil the square again.

In the Wii version, the water balls are automatically shot out from the water nozzles instead of requiring the player to press the buttons on the floor.
The difficulty levels are titled Glimmer Shine (Easy), Sparkle Shine (Normal), Dazzle Shine (Hard), and Tic-Tac-Glow Challenge (Bonus). The goal in "Glimmer Shine" is to get 50 seconds within two minutes (10 points in one minute in the New Play Control! release); "Sparkle Shine" requires 75 points within two minutes (30 within a minute in the New Play Control! release); and "Dazzle Shine" requires 75 points in 90 seconds (reduced to 60 in the New Play Control! release); and as many points in "Tic-Tac-Glow Challenge" within three minutes.

Levels
The water balls are shot from the water nozzles automatically in the New Play Control! release, rather than players pressing buttons on the floor.
