The '''Thwomp Orb''' first appeared in ''[[Mario Party 6]]'', where players could only place it on a space as a roadblock (and costs ten coins at the [[Orb Shop]]). Opponents that passed a space contaning the orb got crushed by [[Thwomp]], ending their turn. In ''[[Mario Party 7]]'', it was used again for the same purpose; it just looked like a Thwomp Trap, which seems to be the modern look for regular Thwomps nowadays.
