Throphers (originally known as Mukumuku, and also called Muku for short) are enemies in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. These gophers appear on Star Hill, and can be summoned using Thropher Cookies. Throphers fight alongside Mastadooms, Geckos and Sackits, and attack by hitting a party member with their hands. Throphers can also throw an assortment of random objects used in other enemy attacks, ranging from normal projectiles such as bones and non-explosive Microbombs, to odd objects like coins, to nonsensical visual effects like musical notes and tiny birds to attack the team; this is similar to the special attack Monster Toss used by Croco and Lakitus.

Its name in the remake is a portmanteau of "throw" and "gopher".

Super Mario RPG (Nintendo Switch)
Mukumukus are gopher-like creatures found on Star Hill in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Mukumukus and Monty Moles have a similar attack pattern, popping out of the ground and throwing something, but while Monty Mole tends to simply throw rocks, Mukumukus can throw an assortment of random objects from bones to bombs to tiny birds (this is similar to the special attack Chomp). A Mukumuku can also bury underground, pop up in front of a party member, and attack with its hands. Though not terribly powerful Mukumukus can be dangerous in groups, especially if they team up with the powerful Mastadoom. Mukumukus also fight alongside Geckos and Sackits. Also they are somewhat cocky, taunting Mario and his allies if they miss.
