{{about|the [[Flipside]] bar in ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''|the world visited in Chapter 7 of the same name|[[The Underwhere]]}}
'''The Underwhere''' is a bar located in [[Flipside]] from ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''. It is located on the first basement floor.

'''The Underwhere''' is a bar (described in-game as a "beveragarium") located on the first basement floor of [[Flipside]], in the game ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''. It is named after [[The Underwhere]], the realm of the dead which can also be visited during the course of the game.
The bar apparently serves [[milk]], as evidenced by [[Chap (blue)|a customer]] indoors. While [[Mario]] can't actually buy the milk within the game, he can talk to the barkeeper, [[Garson]], for gossip.

The bar specializes in serving [[milk]], although [[Mario]] himself cannot purchase any during the game. Instead, he can talk to the barkeeper, [[Garson]], for gossip. Each story costs ten [[coin]]s, and provides insight into the backstories of some of the other characters and shed light on several aspects of ''Super Paper Mario''{{'}}s storyline, such as the histories of the [[Pixl]]s and the [[Tribe of Ancients]]. After Mario defeats [[Super Dimentio]], [[The InterNed]] will appear resting on a table in the bar. He will offer to play any song that Mario or the other heroes have "heard" (the background music) for ten coins each. Also, hidden behind the wall is a golden [[Warp Pipe]] that leads to [[The InterChet]]'s [[Flipside Arcade]].
Each story costs ten [[coin]]s, and most of them don't help [[Mario]] in the game. However, they give some of the [[characters]] quite interesting backstories that add to their known history and reveal several facts about the deeper areas of ''Super Paper Mario''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> storyline, shedding light on subjects such as the [[Tribe of Ancients]] and their beliefs and the history of the [[Pixl]]s.

The Underwhere's [[Flopside]] counterpart is [[The Overthere (bar)|The Overthere]], which serves coffee rather than milk, is run by [[Carson]], and is named for [[The Overthere|a specific region]] of The Underworld, where the sinless spend their afterlives.
Also, hidden behind the wall is a golden [[Warp Pipe]] that leads to [[The InterChet]]'s [[Flipside Arcade]].

==Music==
Lastly, after Mario defeats [[Super Dimentio]], [[The InterNed]] will appear resting on a table in the bar. He will offer to play any song that Mario or the other heroes have "heard" (the background music) for ten coins each.
{{main|Super Paper Mario sound test}}
Most of the soundtrack is available to listen from the InterNed. In total, 87 tracks are playable. The music is played indefinitely until the player exits the Underwhere or changes the track by paying another ten coins, or except if the track is a non-looping song ("Today's Story", "Open the Next Door", and "Goodnight"), after which the music reverts to default ("Flipside"). There are no repeats until all 87 tracks have been played at least once.

==Names in other languages==
The Underwhere's [[Flopside]] counterpart is [[The Overthere (bar)|The Overthere]], headed by [[Carson]].

==Trivia==
[[Category:Restaurants]]
*The Underwhere shares its name with [[The Underwhere|a separate area]] in ''Super Paper Mario''. As The Overthere bar, The Underwhere bar's Flopside counterpart, also shares its name with [[The Overthere|an area within The Underwhere dimension]], it is likely that this was deliberate.
