Peach and Amy beat Bowser and Dr. Eggman, though after seeing how upset they were, they tell them to wait there and promise to get their invitations anyway, and the pair head off. Blue and yellow Toads arrive, and Bowser and Dr. Eggman stop them to ask them what they are doing. The Toads explain that they were helping with the invitations and were heading to mail them off, though Bowser and Dr. Eggman get angry with them for causing the delay and scare the Toads off, causing them to drop a pair of invitations. Bowser and Dr. Eggman investigate the invitations and recognize the handwriting as Peach and Amy's, causing them to believe that they are love letters to Mario and Sonic rather than their invitations. Believing that to be the reason for the delay, they take the invitations and head off sightseeing, and plan to wait for their actual invitations to arrive in the mail. Daisy, the purple Toad and Blaze arrive after mailing off the last of the invitations and notice Bowser and Dr. Eggman leaving with the invitations, closely followed by Amy and Peach and then the yellow and blue Toads. The group come to the realization that Bowser and Dr. Eggman's invitations are missing, though Blaze theorizes that the Toads dropped them and the invitations were what they saw Bowser and Dr. Eggman walking off with. The group agrees that is most likely what happened, and celebrates the completion of all of the invitations. Daisy suggests that they can go shopping now, and Blaze tries to head back to the hotel, but the group convinces her to go with them and they all head off.

After this, text appears onscreen explaining that Bowser and Dr. Eggman forgot about the invitations during their sightseeing trip, causing them to begin their plot to stop the Olympic Games using the Phantasmal Fog.
