The location begins with a wide area with a Blue Coin Block to the right. A timer begins upon the player going on the slide, which first takes the player down a large tunnel, then slopes downward, followed by a large 270-degree bend, then a 1-UP Mushroom preceding several bends, and lastly another wide room. If the player falls off the slide, they return to the foyer of the Mushroom Castle with no life lost. The locations of the Power Stars in the VS mode course include one at the start, the second in the middle, and three in the last room.
