'''The Kid and the King''' is a Side Quest in ''[[Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope]]'', located on the planet [[Palette Prime]], specifically in [[Paletteville]]. After the heroes defeat [[Bedrock]], one of [[Cursa]]'s [[Spark Hunters]], a [[Darkmess Puddle]] appears in Paletteville. The heroes [[Rabbid Luigi]] and [[Bowser]] must be used for the battle. After the battle is cleared, the player is awarded a [[Planet Coin]], the [[List of weapon skins in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope|Steampunk Discruptor]], and the [[Memory]] for Rabbid Luigi.

The battle is always random, but Rabbid Luigi and Bowser must destroy all of the [[Darkmess Eye]]s across a somewhat large battlefield. The enemies that appear include [[Goomba]]s, [[Medician]]s, [[Depleter]]s and [[Wildclaw]]s. [[Darkmess portal]]s can appear during the battle, containing said enemies.
