==Plot synopsis==
Continuing their search for [[Donkey Kong]], [[Donkey Kong Jr.]] and [[Bones Bailey|Bones]] drive along a beachside road. Bones points to a sign for [[Oceanland]], which mentions it having "the biggest acts on the coast." Donkey Kong Jr. claims that there is nothing larger than his father Donkey Kong, and he and decide to drive to the amusement park to search for him. However, their motorcycle has trouble when driving up a hill. The latter attempts to use a screwdriver to allow their motorcycle to drive over the hill, but accidentally unscrews the sidecab, causing it to roll towards Oceanland, carrying him with it until he hits a crossing gate. As Donkey Kong Jr. is carried the opposite direction by the motorcycle, he spots a metal bar under a bridge and uses it to propel himself towards Bones.

In Oceanland, [[Tina]], a caretaker, oversees two sea lions, [[Belinda]] and [[Flippie]], as the latter plays {{wp|water basketball}}, with the former holding the hoop. When Bones falls into the pool, grabbing onto the ball after Belinda tosses it, Tina asks them to lift him out of the pool. As Bones thanks them for putting him on dry land, Flippie spits water on him, which Belinda laughs at. As Tina promptly introduces them to Jr. and Bones, mentioning that they perform every night in Oceanland, this catches the attention of two shady figures, [[Clyde (Saturday Supercade)|Clyde]] and his partner, who hide behind a bush, planning to capture Flippie to commit the greatest crime of the century. As Tina asks them to perform a double somersault, Clyde uses an extendable net to capture Flippie, and he and his partner drive off. After Donkey Kong Jr. tells Belinda not to worry, saying they will rescue her baby, he and Bones run over to and jump off a diving board, before landing on a ball that they use to pursue the two kidnappers.

On the road, Clyde notices Jr. and Bones pursuing, which his partner responds by dropping nails from their car's exhaust. Jr. and Bones roll over most of the nails, but one pokes a hole in the ball, deflating it and taking Jr. and Bones with it, temporarily stopping the protagonists. However, Flippie throws fish from his bucket of food, leaving a trail for them to follow.

The trail of fish leads Jr. and Bones to a luxurious hotel, where they search the premises for Flippie. On a balcony above them, Clyde's partner places a collar on Flippie that places the latter under the former's command. To ensure that it works properly, he commands Flippie to jump from the balcony and steal a diamond necklace from a woman in a tube. Donkey Kong Jr. spots Flippie and hands Bones a net to capture him before jumping onto chair propelling him to the balcony the kidnappears are on. Jr. confronts them, but they escape onto a nearby balcony after Clyde's partner uses a grappling hook. Meanwhile, Bones attempts to capture Flippie with the net as he snatches the woman's necklace, but misses and falls into her floaty tube, with the woman screaming about her necklace being stolen.

Jr. is about to reach their balcony, but Clyde spots him and his partner removes the grappling hook from the balcony. However, Jr. uses the grappling hook's rope as a vine to swing over to the balcony. Jr. is about to continue chasing the two criminals, but notices that Bones is surrounded by police officers for stealing the woman's necklace. He jumps from the balcony and grabs onto a flagpole to use as a slingshot, then grabs Bones before it launches them in air, also grabbing its flag. He then uses the flag as a parachute, and they land on a beach. On the beach, they spot the kidnappers fleeing to [[Prince Rajah]]'s yacht on a boat. Jr. guesses that they will steal something from the yacht, and they construct a makeshift sailboat from a log, sticks, and the flag to follow them, with Jr. blowing on the flag to propel the boat.

Arriving at Rajah's yacht, Bones mentions that they cannot board the yacht, saying that they do not have an invitation. However, Donkey Kong Jr. gets and idea, and he and Bones board the yacht in {{wp|belly dance}}r attire and find Clyde and his partner commanding Flippie to steal the pearl Rajah presents at his next ceremony. Bones says that they should grab Flippie, but Jr. mentions that they to grab Clyde and his partner's remote control first. They attempt to approach them, but are grabbed by two of Prince Rajah's servants, who order them to come to his ceremony. Jr. takes off his disguise and manages to escape to save Flippie. However, Clyde's partner commands Flippie to drop a net on him when he runs over a hatch, then commands him to open the hatch to drop him into a cargo hold. He then commands Flippie to enter a nearby vent.

During the ceremony, Prince Rajah mentions that, before he can present the pearl to his audience, he must summon his dancers into the room. Bones attempts to fit in with the other belly dancers by copying their dances, but accidentally knocks the dancers over when performing. Just then, Flippie enters the room where the ceremony is being held. Bones calls for him, but accidentally knocks over a bowl of oranges. As he slips on the oranges, Flippie spots Rajah's pearl and puts it on his nose. Bones grabs him and the pearl with a curtain, revealing his ruse. He attempts to negotiate with Rajah, saying that he did not steal the pearl, but loses the pearl when Flippie pops out from the curtain. He then chases Flippie as the latter runs off with the pearl, with Rajah and his servants in pursuit.

After Bones and Flippie run over the hatch of the cargo hold Donkey Kong Jr. is trapped in, Jr. manages to punch the hatch off. He notices that Bones is in trouble and launches some soap in a bucket, causing Prince Rajah's servants to slip. Bones takes off his disguise and asks Flippie to give him the pearl and come with him. However, at that moment, Clyde and his partner, having returned to their boat, command him to return as well. Bones gives chase as Flippie leaves, but falls into the water, prompting Donkey Kong Jr. to use a life buoy to save him. The two kidnappers flee the yacht, with Jr. and Bones pursuing them with a life buoy powered by the former.

After retrieving the pearl from Flippie and thanking him, Clyde's partner takes off his collar, saying that he and Clyde will not need him anymore, freeing him from his control. Just then, Clyde notices Jr. and Bones giving chase, to which his partner responds by throwing Flippie's collar in a great white shark's mouth, putting it under his control. He then commands it to attack them before telling Clyde to put their boat at full speed. Bones is terrified by the shark, but Jr. drags in underwater before resurfacing on its back. He grabs the rope attached to Bones's buoy, and, like a horseback rider, bucks it to chase after the two criminals.

Chasing after the criminals' boat, Donkey Kong Jr. demands that they return the stolen pearl and necklace, but Clyde's partner refuses. He attempts to stop them, but Flippie trips him. Flippie then retrieves the stolen pearl and jumps over to Jr. and Bones to return it to them. Jr., using the buoy's rope as a lasso, throws onto the boat's mooring post. He then yanks it, tearing off part of the boat's deck and carrying the kidnappers with it, before returning to shore, with the criminals in tow.

Back at Oceanland, Tina is consoling Belinda when Jr. and Bones return with Flippie after having returned the pearl to its rightful place. Tina hugs him for bring him back, to which Bones says that it was nothing, saying that, in spite of him and Jr. performing simple good deeds, they are all done in a day's work. To show their appreciation, Belinda and Flippie headbutt Bones. He falls into pool, and everyone laughs.
