Overview
Opening
At a beach, an inflatable Thwomp falls onto the ground, and the camera zooms out revealing a second inflatable Thwomp as the teams land on each respective one.
The minigame opens with a scene of an inflatable Thwomp dropping to the ground.
Gameplay
Players must Ground Pound an inflatable, blue Thwomp made of rubber enough to completely deflate it. The higher the jump before the Pound, the more air gets deflated. The first team to completely deflate their Thwomp wins.
Ending
The team that deflated their Thwomp will do their victory poses, while the losing team sulks.

Both teams ground-pound their inflatable blue Thwomp repeatedly with the goal of deflating it entirely. Ground Pounds from higher jumps deflate the Thwomp further. The first team to meet the objective wins, but if neither team does so within 30 seconds, it is a tie.
The ending shows the winning team and losing team performing their respective animations.
The minigame title is a play on "Great Debate."

Trivia
*Totem Pole Pound
*In the Mario Party: The Top 100 incarnation of the minigame, the Thwomps feature the modern facial look, but are still blue cubes. This is the first time any Thwomp has been seen as a blue cube since Super Smash Bros. Brawl, released nine years prior.
*Double Pounder
*Its name comes from the term "The Great Debate".
