The 'Shroom:Issue LXXXV/Pipe Plaza
Director's Notes (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hello, readers, and welcome to the April Issue of Pipe Plaza!! This month, I do have news not related to Section of the Month, so let's get to that! I had this in mind ever since the beginning of the year, but ended up forgetting about it for the past three months. I finally remembered to talk to the staff a few days ago, presenting my idea, and so we have decided to make UPdate, written by Super Mario Bros. (talk) as a guest section in the December 2013 Issue, a regular section in the Pipe Plaza Sub-Team. It will open for sign-ups immediately after this issue is released, so be sure to start working on an application if you're interested in the section! Anyway, that's all for now about the team, so let's check this month's... Section of the Month!!The SotM poll from the last issue got a measly 9 votes. Please be sure to vote for your favorite section this month, guys!! Anyway, the March Section of the Month, with 4 votes (44.45% of the total) is... ...Community Report, for an impressive fifth time in the past seven months!!! Currently written by Driftmaster130 (talk), Community Report presents readers readers with all sorts of wiki-related news, such as new policies, promotions and demotions and proposals that have reached a consensus. The second-placed section was Yoshi876 (talk)'s Featured, with 3 votes (33.33%). Both Tip of the Month, written by FunkyK38 (talk), and Monthly Report, written by myself, got third place, with only 1 vote each (11.11% of the total). And that's all, everyone!! I hope you like this issue!! See you in May!!! Monthly Report (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hi, everyone, and welcome to this month's Monthly Report!! I guess I have no special news to share with you guys, so let's see the wiki statistics from mid-February, late-February and March, along with comparisons between those sets of stats. Here they are: (Credit goes to Stooben Rooben (talk) and Super Mario Bros. (talk) for the table coding. Stooben originally created it when writing this section back in Issues XXIII, XXV and XXVI, and SMB based his coding for Issues XXXIX, XL and XLI – which I am using in this issue – off of Stooben's coding.)
Community Report (Driftmaster130 (talk))Hey folks, this is Driftmaster130, Not one, not two, but three changes to the wiki staff were made: Turboo (talk) was promoted from patroller to administrator for his great work fighting vandalism, Yoshi876 (talk) was made a patroller, and Phoenix (talk) was given a bureaucrat rank. Good luck to all of you. A minor rule change was made to the Proposals page: the No-Signature Policy is no longer in effect there when commenting. Speaking of proposals, here are the ones which were recently resolved: (credit to YoshiKong for previously developing this coded table system)
The TPP's (Talk Page Proposals) that recently came to a close:
The TPP's that are currently ongoing:
NOTE:All stats and figures included in this section were correct as of April 8th. And that's all for the April edition of Community Report! See y'all next time. Featured (Yoshi876 (talk))Hello, Shroom readers, looks like hay fever season has started and an incredibly high pollen count of Featured Article stuff has recently blown in, so let's take a look at it. Failed FA NominationsTwo new articles have failed the featuring process.

Failed Unfeaturing NominationsTwo new articles have failed the unfeaturing process. Thanks for reading see you next month, for more new Featured Articles. This has been Yoshi876, good night. Tip of the Month (FunkyK38 (talk))Whether writing an article, making a minor edit, leaving a comment on another user's page, or even just editing your own page, spacing can sometimes get very irritating. To avoid the blue dashed outline around your text that looks like this be sure to never begin a line with a space-bar space. Using a tab space is fine, but the space bar will leave your text looking sloppy, unprofessional, and out of place. |
