Template talk:LM
I don't know, there are some independent templates as the rooms and undead templates. I think is better put this template in the main game only - and the rest of the game templates. because it seems there are many game templates in the articles and it makes a confusion of sort on many colors and fitness even if it's working with collapsible templates... -- ¢oincoll€ctor 22:00, 14 December 2008 (EST)
- I believe the goal is that this would replace templates like rooms and undead. I think it works fine...although the colors for this have to change. Blue on black hurts the eyes. -- Son of Suns (talk)
Are you sure? well, it's necessary talk about templates, because I see a problem about the templates and their content - did you remember the Mario RPG's enemies template? -- ¢oincoll€ctor 22:08, 14 December 2008 (EST)
- Yeah templates that are the same as categories are mostly pointless. And I think organizing by game is a way to provide effective and logical templates. However, we could also split larger game templates into smaller templates - in this case, a template on rooms and ghosts, instead of having everything in one giant game template. Possibly. -- Son of Suns (talk)
- Son of Suns hit it right on the nose the first time. The goal is to get rid of as many small templates pertaining to one game as possible. The rooms template will be deleted when it's replaced, and the Undead one will be left the same since it has all undead characters and species from the Mario series. The Mario RPG template was completely revamped because there were no objections made to it after about 8 days. I figured 1 week was enough time. SoS: I'm not sure about the color scheme; I had the title as white on black, and the rest of it was blue on extremely light colors of gray. o_0 Dunno why it appeared different from that. Really, the template isn't as big as it looks; the way I laid it out just made it appear that way because I used the rowspan coding. If I were to get rid of that, the template would be much smaller. Templates, as long as they are organized neatly, are a good way to travel from article to article. By simply clicking 'show', you can see whatever article related to the game (or species, series, whatever) you want to. It breaks it down into separate categories too, such as "Objects", "Rooms", "Common Ghosts", etc. That way, if you don't know what something is called, but you know what type of object it is, it's even easier to find what you're looking for, rather than having to go through every single article in a category. — Stooben Rooben 22:20, 14 December 2008 (EST)
- Resuming your suggestion Stoob, it's better merge certain independent templates (as the rooms) into a big one as the Luigi's Mansion template for substracting junk templates and turn the main template into a map containing the wanted info with related topics? --
¢oincoll€ctor 22:30, 14 December 2008 (EST) Really not bad idea.
- Hopefully we can get rid of "Undead" too...so unwieldy. -- Son of Suns (talk)
Special ghosts[edit]
Certain ghosts like Black Bogmire or Waiter only appear once in the game, so I wouldn't really call them normal ghosts, would it be better to make them a separate part on the template under the name special ghosts? Yoshi876 (talk)
