:I'm sorry but I think we'd better not. Kana don't look familiar to American or European readers, but almost everyone knows Latin alphabet. So I think we might as well lay the romanization on the page to indicate how to read the Japanese. I suggest using <code>&lt;span class="explain"&gt;</code> to spell kanji in terms of kana, such as "<span class="explain" title="ふしぎ">不思議</span> ''fushigi''".
